It's a mission to keep it clean![]()
How did I make it look bright? Even I don't know. When I bought the car the dashboard lights were originally like this and has remained the same to date.
Have not made any modifications what so ever.
At times it seems to look like some sort of an illumination kit however it is just stock lighting. Hmmm

Not too sure about the LEDsPerhaps dust can discolour the lights and panels.
With for example the speedometer panels, you can purchase the sticker sheet online which sticks onto the panel.
This way you can avoid installing new lights but it will be a very cheap method that will probably not offer what you're after.
I have not done this personally, just a suggestion.
Carpets.I made them
I searched around for quite a while looking for original Toyota carpets. I could not find the perfect fit for the car nor could I find a kit specifically for the AE100.
So I made my own
Simple... just bought a set of plain car mats and applied a vinyl to the drivers side mat.
I find that original Toyota mats tend to be expensive and you can spend that amount on something else worthy for the car.
Hope this helps.

thanks,i hope the previous owner would have done a cleanup and added white lights as i knew that up to the year 2000 or so,corollas had boring greenish yellow lights,it cant be stock but who cares as long as it looks great!,,,the sticker thingy doesn't suit me well too.
i hope you wouldn't mind if i show one of your car interior pics to my electrician to get an idea,
and take my advice,,do not do any sort of modification which would turn this respectable saloon into a ricers bitch, take my word, the more stock it is teh more value for these corolla's.
and adding up to toyotas owner using a ae100?there are possibilities because ae100 and ae110 were the reason why the corolla badge became the best selling car model in the whole world.
great car mate,,treat her with respect so that she does it in return!
cheers,
