how to get video off a video camera

i thought what a investment and bought a video camera at 2006 and have no way of getting the video off it dose anyone know how to without a camera card????????????????????

Any video camera offers video out via A/V cables and most cameras offer firewire connection to get the video out as well.

the camera has a/v cables but the i dont know what firewire is but isnt there a simple program to take the video with out the capture card

so plug the a/v cables to the capture card and record the video off it.
