yeah!!! definitely we should encourage our guys(i personally build stuff for myself,it's a different story)
i can remember years back we built inverters for florescent lamps for our own use :D the future is LED lighting bro :D

thats great machn, then try to do it in mass scale bro. Evry1 will help you out.:yes::yes::yes: nice to hear bro!!!! keep it up....;););)

    ganan kohomada

my 3W led which has 25W filament bulb luminance is about 350Rs
5W led which has 45W filament bulb luminance is about 550Rs
7W led which has 100W filament bulb luminance (25W cfl bulb luminance) is about 950Rs

machn ubata ona widiyata customize kara ganna puluwan :yes::yes::yes:
you get a one year warranty ;);) how cool is that ha :yes::yes::cool::cool:

yeah ban i too don't like capacitor way,it even don't have isolation too ne,
the 30W led i got came with 18V 2A PSU,which had a small t/f,couldn't find cheap small t/f to build some, there are 1W LEDs on SL for around Rs90 or so

These capacitor method sucks. sometimes it kill whole lot of LEDS instantly.

Machan I searched lot of sites to find circuit for driving 1W LED from 230V (switchmode) there are easy to build circuit (no isolation, but have only one inductor) but can't find driving ICs. some circuits have no any IC but they have isolated ferrite t/f.

ah SMPS thama ela bn,more efficient anika.what is the inductor value machn? you can buy inductors from laser electronics, wikarama plaza,1st cross street, pettah.i got some for my projects.1/2W ones,or else ebay is the option.what about 2nd method bro?any details on ferrite t/f,if you have any cct plz send me da link :D

The vast majority of devices containing LEDs are "safe under all conditions of normal use", and so are classified as "Class 1 LED product"/"LED Klasse 1". At present, only a few LEDs—extremely bright LEDs that also have a tightly focused viewing angle of 8° or less—could, in theory, cause temporary blindness, and so are classified as "Class 2".[82] In general, laser safety regulations—and the "Class 1", "Class 2", etc. system—also apply to LEDs.[83]
While LEDs have the advantage over fluorescent lamps that they do not contain mercury, they may contain other hazardous metals such as lead and arsenic. A study published in 2011 states: "According to federal standards, LEDs are not hazardous except for low-intensity red LEDs, which leached Pb [lead] at levels exceeding regulatory limits (186 mg/L; regulatory limit: 5). However, according to California regulations, excessive levels of copper (up to 3892 mg/kg; limit: 2500), Pb (up to 8103 mg/kg; limit: 1000), nickel (up to 4797 mg/kg; limit: 2000), or silver (up to 721 mg/kg; limit: 500) render all except low-intensity yellow LEDs hazardous.".[84]

machn I'm using Transformer less power supply..It was extremely difficult to design a reliable circuit that cost me more than 10000....so I;m afraid that I can not give you the exact circuit..try Transformer less power supply on the intrnet.. :)

I'm using capacitor type one machn...do not blame to the components we have. you should develop the circuit for the best one...I'm using this type power supplies for Micro -controllers(PIC) also...So think you can imagine the quality of the circuit...

machn swichmode type is the best, but bro if you are doing a prodution u should search for alternatives to reduse the cost of the product..this capacitor type power supply which I developed didnot damged till now I'm using this for dimmers(can not be dimmed)..that is why i can give 1 yr warranty...
