merlin is more of a fantasy drama.
game of thrones is yet to watch. ppl say it is good.
as for walking dead , it is kinda weird but still not bad

GOT,Walking dead, Spartacus, Homeland all of them are good due
Me disliking it is just a matter of personal perspective.

But merlin is a crap indeed. I prefer Legend of the Seeker over it

sodan warriors survived it bcz of simbiyote's healing powers.

What I dont get it is why not SGC try to acquire a stargate with DHD from another uninhabited planet. So they dont have to pay for Russia for using their gate let alone not having to afford to power up stargate as DHD do it for free.

They fetched about 30-40 stargates to build that bridge from atlantis to earth now didnt they ?

So even if we had another gate all incoming connections would go to Russian gate since it being the original and the prominent gate.

1- One small Q. When SG01 coming in hot through the to Earth. Why do they walk straight in front of stargate. If they flank left or right or even get behind the stargate there will be less to 0 probability of getting caught a blast fired from jaffa ne ?

2- Finished with all 10 season with last episode being the mass suicide of Asgards and SG01 getting trapped in a time bubble.

But AFAI remember theres more to it. Adria ascend and SG01 found some box which enables its believers to see the truth when its open.

I believe thats one reason why they installed IRIS. They didn't want to worry that much about it since most of their missions came under exploration/standard recon. They only engaged when they had no ther choice and they could always jump and duck

Watch SG1 movie "The Ark of Truth". It has all the answers you are looking for. The "box" you are referring is the ark of truth which was created by Amelius (creator of stargate network). Its purpose is not to show the truth but to brainwash. Thats why Ancients didn't use it in the first place.

There is one method SGC can suppress Russian gate. They could acquire a gate from Pegasus galaxy (third generation gate) which are technologically advance than gates in Milkyway galaxy(second generation gate). When such gate is present all incoming connection would go to it rather than going to the old gen one. But then again Russians too can get one (using their deaddalus class ship). So its better to keep Russians in the loop and have them working with US rather than against.
