Petition against SLT Broadband

For all the people who are suffering from slow SLT ADSL Connections:

Go to your area office or regional office and meet the Manager to lodge a complain. That person will say that they cannot take you off from the blacklist.
Then ask him for a written statement mentioning that they have blacklisted your connection because of the high usage. You can tell that you need a letter to complain to TRCSL. Then they will say that they are not in a position to offer a written letter.

Then you have to take your mobile out and call call these people while staying in the area managers cabin!

Explain the scenario to them and give the phone to area manager. Then they will fix your connection immediately
No need to go and report to TRCSL

After that they will not come to blacklist or limit your UNLIMITED INTERNET connection!

    Petition targets updated:

    This petition kindly requests SLT to,

    1. Publicly accept that they are limiting the unlimited packages for heavy users if they do so.


    2. Mention their legal rights to limit existing unlimited packages. Eg. From TRCSL


    3. If they are limiting the
    existing "Unlimited" packages, they should consider to lower down the monthly rental which users are agreed to pay for an "Unlimited" connection.

    4. If they are legally limiting unlimited packages, they should at least give warnings, proper guidelines of monthly data caps, and accept the fact that they are limiting the speed.


    5. Reintroduce reasonable broadband packages for new connections which are practically usable for modern day concepts such as online streaming, VOIP, and cloud based services.

    Please share your thoughts.
