Fact that most people don't understand is its not all about hardware. Its a combination of hardware and software. For and example, I am using Windows Phone 7 since JAN 2012 and its newer lagged. Mine doesn't has the best hardware. Just 1Ghz, 512MB, 16GB Even when i upgraded to Windows Phone 7.5 it feels more smoother than before.

A reporter once asked from Microsoft "Why don't you make phones with multi-core processors ?" The answer was "Why should we? since the OS can runs perfectly with single-core processor "

Android is a great OS, but it need to be develop focusing software rather than depending on hardware.

devs are trying things like linaro code optimization

if some one can build os with android features and wp smoothness it will kill all the competition

Google should learn from MS. cz MS did the google thing several years ago and they almost lost their reputation, when launching Windows Vista. It was failed due to the performance issues. Because they thought people will buy new H/W to use the new OS but it always the other-way around. take Galaxy S i9000 its just 2 years old and won't officially support beyond android 2.3. Even with a custom ICS its a little bit laggy. However MS released WP 7.5 update for every WP 7 handset and it was faster than WP7 Like they did with Win 7. And almost every WP 1st generation handsets will have the WP7.8 update. So the concept was to keep the H/W requirements as minimum as possible so they could let more people to use their OS on existing H/W.

Still its too early to make conclusions in IOS vs Android vs WP8. However we can see a nice battle/competition between them in near future.

Really dude? Exynos dual on galaxy SII was the best in class. Qualcomm went downhill with the snapdragon s3 series! Exynos dual got beaten only after tegra 3 came out!
And exynos dual had the crown for more than 8 months which is quite long time!



Exynos quadcore on GS3 is much faster in reality when comparing with S4. Specially graphics performance is unmatched on the exynos quad! You can see some benchmarks which krait is faster but when it comes to multi threaded , graphics , javascript, benchmarks, Exynos quad is the best in business!

I am personally an apple guy, and I understand this : iPhone is (for that matter all iPhone, iPad, Mac, etc are) a great match when you are serious about your work and you want your fiddling with the smart devices be of second nature. But an iPhone alone cannot serve you to its full aptitude. You do not have the real advantage of an iPhone if your smartphone is the only Apple device you have.

If you cannot go that far, and just looking for a great smartphone, Samsung is the best choice available given its cheaper price and features. If you are not fastidious about brand name value and prestige (caring or not caring about these is solely your choice, and no grown-up is going to disparage you over this) it is only a plus point you have towards Samsung. And yet I love the fact that Samsung has its roots is in Asia.

Apple is not selling just a smartphone, but it is a real modern jewel.
Samsung too is not selling just a smartphone, but it is a supercharged beast.

In the final analysis, both are just devices designed to slave you, - so try to grow up.
