Malaga vice president: We don't need to sell Isco

The young playmaker has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid and Manchester City, but the Andalusians say his exit is far from guaranteed Malaga executive vice president Moayad Shatat says that Isco will stay at the club unless a satisfactory offer comes in.

Both Manchester City and Real Madrid have been heavily linked with the 21-year-old this summer, but the Andalusians are determined to hold on to their star for another year, at least on loan.

"We're in negotiations with Isco. It's true that offers have come in for him, but we're always going to look for the best price for his exit,” Shatat told Marca. “We don't need to let Isco go cheaply. If it's not enough, we're not going to sell him. We haven't received any transfer offers which include the option for him to continue with Malaga on loan for a season.

"Isco is a very important player, everyone thinks it would be great if he stayed and if the correct offer doesn't come in, we're not going to sell."

Isco scored 12 goals in 47 appearances for the club over the course of 2012-13.

Mourinho looking forward to 'emotional' start to Chelsea season

    287663_heroa.jpg

The Blues kick off off their 2013-14 campaign at Stamford Bridge against newly promoted Hull City before traveling to Old Trafford to take on Manchester United.
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho says that he is looking forward to "an emotional but a hard start" after the Premier League's fixtures for 2013-14 were announced.

The Blues begin the new campaign at home to newly promoted Hull City before traveling to Old Trafford to take on league champion Manchester United.

Mourinho, who is beginning his second stint at Blues boss, is delighted to be opening the season at Stamford Bridge but is expecting a tough test from the Tigers.

"Starting the season at home is a great way for our supporters to show the players they are ready to be behind the team all the way and, at the same time, it is a great way for the players to show how much they are motivated and committed," the Portuguese told the club's official website.

"I am so happy to start at the Bridge but, at the same time, Hull City are a team who were promoted from the Championship and they will have that spirit, even if now they are in the Premier League. So it is an emotional but a hard start."

Mourinho, who led Chelsea to two Premier League triumphs in his previous spell at the club, is keen to make the division as much of a spectacle as possible.

"I wish every club well for the season and I especially hope we can all make it a great competition for Premier League fans all around the world," he enthused.

The co-ownership deal with Udinese has been terminated, while a deal regarding Mauricio Isla has been renewed.Juventus has announced that it has ended the co-ownership deal for Kwadwo Asamoah and has purchased the midfielder for 9 million euros.

The Old Lady bought 50 percent of the midfielder's contract from their Serie A rival in the summer of 2012 in a deal also worth 9m euros and have now chosen to buyout the remaining half.

With the deal between clubs complete, the Ghanaian has signed a four-year deal which is set to keep him at the Juventus Stadium until June 30, 2017.

Asamoah, 24, has played 27 games for Juve and scored twice en route to the first Scudetto of his career.

Antonio Conte's side's negotiations with Udinese also involved renewing two co-ownerships deal which began last season: Mauricio Isla will spend 2013-14 in Turin while Cristian Pasquato will remain with the Zebrettes.

Fabregas: I'm becoming one of the best at Barcelona

    287292_heroa.jpg

The former Arsenal captain feels joining the Blaugrana was crucial in his development, while he feels Spain is not the favorite to win the Confederations Cup.Cesc Fabregas believes that playing with the very best in the world at Barcelona has seen him become more talented as a footballer.

Since joining the Catalans in 2011, the midfielder has become more of a key player for Spain's national team, having been on the peripherals while Arsenal captain.

On the back of a 2-1 over Uruguay in the opening match of Spain's Confederations Cup campaign, Fabregas stressed how crucial the transfer back to the club of his youth was to develop as a player and become one of the world's greatest.

He told FIFA.com: "I think moving to Barcelona was a very important step for me, because of the system and also because you’re playing with the best, which means you automatically have to move up a level to match the standards they set.

"You learn something in every training session and you have to give your very best."

Fabregas played an important part in the team's victory over Group B opponent Uruguay on Sunday and the 26-year-old is pleased with Spains start to the only major international tournament that the country has yet to win.

"We played well and it was the complete performance," he stated. "The important thing is the three points and the way we controlled the whole game, not the way I played. A start like this always gives you confidence for what lies ahead.

"I’ve been playing for Spain for eight years, which is a long time, and I can remember some games we’ve played and some individual performances where we’ve been at a similar level. The important thing, though, is that we played well and I felt comfortable. That’s what counts to my mind."

Despite dismissing any champions elect tag, the Barca attacking midfielder is adamant that a focus on controlling the flow of the clashes will see the team go far in the Confederations Cup.

"I wouldn’t say we’re the favorites," he stated. "We’re just trying to play our game and our tournament.

"We can win it, just as long as we do what we know best, which is to keep possession and control the pace of the game. When we do that, we’re very difficult to beat, as we’ve shown."

Spain faces Tahiti on Thursday in Brazil.

West Ham confirms signing of Andy Carroll from Liverpool

The two clubs have announced that the England international has completed a permanent move from Anfield to Upton Park and will wear the No.9 shirt next season for the HammersWest Ham United has confirmed it has signed striker Andy Carroll from Liverpool on a six-year contract for a club record undisclosed fee.

The 24-year-old spent last season on loan with the Hammers, scoring seven times as Sam Allardyce's side finished 10th in the Premier League.

The England international says he is thrilled to make the move and feels there is a bright future ahead in east London.

"It's fantastic for me to be here. I really enjoyed last season, and that shows in me coming back and making it permanent," Carroll told the club's official website."The fans, the lads and the club itself has been great to me, and what I wanted to do was come back here and play football.

"Since the end of the season I've had a lot of time to think, I've missed it and that's why I'm back. Getting promoted the season before last, then finishing where we did - we did great, and it can only get better for us. The way the club's being run, obviously getting the new stadium and everything like that, it's only going up."

Carroll joined Liverpool from Newcastle in January 2011 for 35 million pounds, scoring 11 times in 58 appearances for the Merseysiders.

Mata only focused on Confederations Cup amid Chelsea exit rumors

The Blues Player of the Year insists he is paying no attention to mounting rumors that he will leave the club and says his primary concern is performing well for Spain.Chelsea winger Juan Mata insists he is fully focused on playing football after being linked with a summer move away from Stamford Bridge.

Mata has become a key figure in west London since arriving from Valencia in 2011 and was crowned the club's Player of the Year for the second season running after playing a major role in the side's Europa League success and third-place finish in the Premier League.

Recent reports suggested returning Blues boss Jose Mourinho would be open to selling Mata, but the 25-year-old insists he is ignoring all transfer gossip and is concentrating solely on winning the Confederations Cup with Spain.

"Obviously it's tough, talking about it physically, but I don't feel down, I still feel fresh and all I want is to play as many games as I can," he told Sky Sports. "I really enjoyed this season. It was a tough and long for us, but at the end we won a trophy so it was good.

"I really love to play with my national team, so all I can do is train and look forward to playing, because I love to play football."

Lampard hails new Chelsea boss Mourinho: I'm very fortunate to have worked under him

    269612_heroa.jpg

The veteran midfielder hopes to continue learning under the Portuguese just as he did during the manager's first spell in charge at Stamford Bridge Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard has hailed the impact Jose Mourinho has made on his career.

Mourinho was unveiled for a second spell at Stamford Bridge earlier in June and returns to the side where he won six trophies, including two Premier League titles, between 2004 and 2007.

Lampard believes that working under Mourinho helped his game develop and has praised the team harmony the 50-year-old is capable of creating at the club.

"He's a great manager, I've said it a million times to the point of boring people, but I'm very fortunate to have worked under him before," Lampard told the club's official website. "He took my game on a million miles. A lot of the reasons I moved on in the game are because of him.

"He creates a spirit in his squads that you can see from the outside is very, very strong. He's a top-class manager, we all know that."

Lampard penned a one-year contract extension following Chelsea's Europa League triumph in May, and has now set his sights on representing England at the 2014 World Cup.

"It is a big year," Lampard continued. "I would love to stay involved with England until the World Cup. I need to be playing regularly and well to do that, and we have a big squad.

"Now I've signed the extra year though it's up to me to come back in preseason and onwards and show I can do that. Then we'll see what happens with England but if I am playing well I like to think I will have a chance."

    Congratulations Spain!!!

:love:Spain 10-0 Tahiti: Fernando Torres nets four in Rio rout

    soc_g_torres_kh_576.jpg

Spain was in complete control at the Maracana, demolishing Tahiti 10-0 on Thursday to book its place in the Confederations Cup semifinals.

With the world's top-ranked team facing off against a side 137 places lower, pre-match predictions heralded a double-digit scoreline, and la Roja did not disappoint, with Fernando Torres scoring four times, and David Villa adding a hat trick of his own.

The Chelsea striker struck either side of a David Silva effort, before Villa added Spain's fourth just before the break to give Spain a 4-0 halftime lead.

Spain's record goalscorer would add his 55th and 56th international goals in the second half, alongside a Juan Mata piledriver and another pair of efforts from Torres, who also missed a penalty, before Silva added the 10 goal a minute from time.

    290201hp2.jpg

The result sees Spain join Italy and Brazil in the last four, while Tahiti is all but eliminated, needing a result beyond the realms of speculation against Uruguay in its final game to erase its negative-15 goal difference.

Vicente del Bosque put out a completely different team to the one that beat Uruguay 2-1 on Sunday, as Javi Martinez, Santi Cazorla and Mata were all handed starts after appearing as substitutes at the Itaipava Arena Pernambuco.

It did not take Spain long to get the ball rolling, but Tahiti keeper Mickael Roche will no doubt be disappointed at the ease with which he let Torres’ shot slip past his grasp at the near post.

Torres had a chance to make it 2-0 five minutes later, but he opted, and failed, to lob the keeper, when Villa was in acres of space waiting for the tap in.

Certainly, the vast majority of the fans inside the Maracana were behind the minnows from French Polynesia, with every incursion past the halfway line greeted with a deafening roar.

But such forays were few and far between, as Spain continued to dominate proceedings despite rarely playing above a leisurely pace.

The crowd was brought to their feet once again after a barnstorming run from Steevy Chong Hue was halted by a cynical Raul Albiol challenge, but Marama Vahirua could not get the free kick past the wall.

Jonathan Tehau blocked on the line from Mata, and Roche was again able to tip away from Cazorla as the second Spain goal loomed large, and duly arrived on the half hour mark when Villa slipped in Silva behind the fullback for an easy finish.

And moments later, Torres made it 3-0 after breaking the offside trap, rounding Roche and prodding home.

Villa nearly added a fourth 38 minutes in when he blasted into the side netting at the far post, but the Barca striker would make no mistake seconds later, sliding into an empty net after Spain overloaded on a five on one break.

With a double-digit scoreline in sight, Spain did not let up. Villa was at it again four minutes after the restart, arriving first ahead of a queue of Spain players to bundle in Nacho Monreal’s cross.

Torres completed his hat trick in the 57th minute when he converted from close range thanks to a square pass from Jesus Navas, who set up a similar chance moments later for Silva, who missed badly.

Villa would join in on the treble fun just past the hour, taking advantage of a missed interception by Roche to finish into an empty net to make it 7-0.

Spain’s players seemed to be almost queuing up to score, and Mata quickly added the eighth goal after bundling his way past the defense and drilling into the bottom corner.

But Roche, so often left stranded for the majority of Spain’s goals, made two smart saves in quick succession to save from Villa’s free kick, and a long-range effort by Cazorla.

With 12 minutes remaining, Ricky Aitamai conceded a penalty after handling Navas’ cross, but Torres smacked the spot kick off the crossbar, to a loud cheer from the crowd.

However, Torres would silence the fans somewhat seconds later, latching onto Raul Albiol’s pass and sprinting in behind the defense with ease to finish.

At this point, the only question remaining was whether Spain would reach double figures, and Silva would achieve the symbolic feat in the 89th minute, turning and firing home from eight yards to round off a rout for the ages.

It was the largest margin of victory in a senior FiFA competition.
