Thanks for sharing machan... When it comes to salary scales and nightshifts, virtusa is a bad place its known by everyone.... ITs not the place it used be to 5 or 6 years ago... :baffled:

Since they recruit interns trainees in large scale they dont care about employee turn over. thats the problem of large companies where we are just a small person

It was THE place to be before 2007. Sadly the local management and the CEO made it a bad place. still there are lot of loyal employees who work very hard but simply not recognized by the management.

Was been at IFS in 2008 as an intern I can rate (as I saw in 2008),

    01. Salary & Package (Allowances, Bonuses etc) - 7 (Not astronomical but good. Being an intern I got 15K in 2008)

    02. Benefits (Trips, Free Food and snack,) - 9 (Loads of fun trips and events. No cost at all. Very generous when it comes to food. Lunch buffet is very promising. Lot of our interns got fat :D)

    03. Working Environment (Facilities at office like GYM and office furniture) - 7 (GYM, swimming membership was given from leading places outside. Building is not that modern btw.)

    04. Work Difficulty(Hard, Stressful, Late nights) - 9 (NO stress. Very rare late nights)

    05. Work Type(Interesting, New things to learn, boring) - 6 (I believe this should be more intersting now than in 2008 with the new .Net adoption)

    06. Office Culture (Staff and co workers friendliness, flexibility of management) - 9 - (had the most memorable set of people there. very friendly and supportive)

you mean no stress at all? i've also heard that working hours are very good and mostly ppl leave at 5.30.
    also are there politics?

i've also been to an internship interview there about 5 years back but i accepted a different one coz ppl were saying tech experience there is not that good... but i guess this is a good company to get yourself established if u are married and have enough tech experience...

Hmmm now fresh fraduates go to virtusa as last resort after tying so many companies. since you been there 4 years cant you target to a higher position where they treat well?

Does people work there said so? I think outside people talk about their development framework and they think that you dont get any coding experience.

IFS is product based company in contrast to places like Virtusa which is developing custom software. IFS already have their own ERP suite and they basically to RnD stuff and little customizations on the existing product.

That's why the stress is minimal. machan every organization have some sort of politics. In IFS that is minimal.

As you said 5 years ago tech experience may be not that good coz they mainly involved with Centura. But now it is .net converted as I know. And there are potential for JSP and J2EE.

In fact I left work around 5 o clock for most of the days having been reported to office by 8 am. For married guy this is an ideal place.
