As stated, Islamic Banking is here to stay. No harm. It's just you bunch of lil wieners who try to make every single thing a big issue. You can't do shit about it.

Business is for a niche market not for a majority only. Sampath bank is bankrupt that is why it is issueing 60 Billon Rs of debentures. Those who take interest only consuming its Capital. That is why banks are collapsing. Another Pramuka in making. Do you why Central banks asked conventional banks to merge. Because of its loses.

Conventional banks takes interest by hook or by crook. Where as Islamic banks takes in losess too. There is no concept of compound interest in Islamic banks. Whereas conventional banks do charge them.

Conventional Banks makes poor people poorer. Where as Islamic bank does the opposite. In islamic bank it is a business transaction.

Muslim people were not banking with commercial banks, only some business people used current accounts. Majority of Muslims never used save until Islamic banks came. Sinhalese people are the ones who eats interest.

Even if you like it or not Islamic Banks are here to stay.We love islamic banks.

Buddism is not a religion it is a philosophy.
Learn to spell words you idiot. Buddhism is a philosophy, and that's the very reason the people with higher IQ around the world find it exactly as a philosophy instead of something you are bound to follow the rules and regulations. Customs are different and you won't be killed for not doing them.

Philosophies are here to stay. You are correct about Atheists. Ask 100 people their POV about philosophy -- majority is going to have a positive look at Buddhism. If your religion has no rules and is relaxed, millions of people would become atheists.

Islamic bank is quite different from traditional banking. There is nothing called a bank going to collapse because of its tactics. It's just the customers and management that can bring a bank down.

FYI: Islamic banks do not charge any interests for loans, but the bank constantly keep touch with the businessman and there is profit-share and some duties to do back to the bank. It's not bullet proof either. Just their beliefs and just business.

Problem here is the bank doing both types of businesses under the same bank. Amana bank is fine and they only have Islamic banking. When a bank is going to do both, specially when the bank was used to traditional banking, it's the Sinhalese and Tamil customers' profits that are going to the Islamic division. A bank should help its customers at a higher level.
The givernment should decide if Islamic banking is allowed in the country or not in the first place, but unfortunately our politicians are even more idiotic than you to do whatever you ask for when it comes to an election.
If the government has a good financial plan to cover the budget requirements, they wouldn't need to add that much tax on citizens. That means citizens can afford many things and and banks have to lower their interest rates. We have 200-300% tax on vehicles. You could buy a decent car in some other country for 15k USD, but in here, you can't even get a fucking shitty Maruti. People have to go for the banks and banks can raise their rates.

SL is slowly becoming a Muslim country. So theres nothing wrong with banks being aligned with the stronger party.
