I have given a new job to work as a internal auditors. when I go and work the staff not supporting to me to audit receipts,payments. there is no financial reports. just earning and spending as their wish without the approval of MD.
after the heart attack MD not involving any admin accounts work.
it is an international school.
I told about lot of internal control weeks. like no receipts numbered. pv not numbered. not budgeted. before spend not approval taken.
staff has not a duty schedule. they not come in time.
all crashed.

I told to MD. he said to correct it. but how can I go without the MD direct involve.

Didn’t get a support from the staff is a normal thing in an office life. U must higher up your personality with skills, qualifications and with personal qualities such as punctuality, honesty, cleverness, etc. If MD didn’t pay attention to what u say verbally u can write an ‘’management report’’ by addressing MD. In that report you write what u have said to us. It should be like

What u write to your boss should be brief, because they don’t like lengthy readings, your details and calculations can be placed in ‘’Appendix’’ page at the end of the report. Appendix page can prevent you from being blamed as u didn’t do the job well. A ‘’significant deficiencies’’ page can be placed at first to point out most significant facts.
Try to convince your boss that a business cannot be managed without a proper internal controls. If there are no internal controls it’s a good place for corruption and inefficiency, where the owners will ultimately suffer.

and explain to your boss about a role of an internal auditor and the authorities he needed to perform his duties. at least ask him to inform the other staff to give necessary documents and information what u need. If anyone does not provide necessary support, you can report about them in your periodic reports to the boss.

Be confident and assertive. Know your facts and communicate effectively and you need to brush up the language.
