Dani Alves: I have both feet and my head out of Barcelona

    dani-alves-barcelona-malaga-la-liga-21022015_1nd7q894f3uxh1ntwumk2t29ea.jpg

Dani Alves says he has "both feet and a head" out the door at Barcelona, strongly hinting he will leave at the end of the season. The right-back has long been linked with a move away from Camp Nou this year, with his contract expiring next month.

The 32-year-old, who joined Barca from Sevilla in 2008, has criticised the club for not showing him respect."I have endured a lot this year, listening to a lot of bullshit," he told reporters. "So I have to speak out. because I have been disrespected and have a limit.

"When I say that I have been disrespected, I am talking about board members who have been talking about me.

"They say that I am chasing money. But I'm not thinking about money, I'm thinking about what I do being valued. If they don't value what I do, then this club is not for me. The club doesn't value me the way I feel I deserve."The president knows what he has to do to keep me. At the moment, I have both feet and my head outside the club, but I am committed to the team."

The Brazil international says the club are interested in keeping him, but he will announce whether or not he will stay after the Champions League final against Juventus on June 6.

"The club have wanted to keep me since three or four months ago because my performances have improved. But I have spent seven seasons of my life here and have to find the right balance.

"Until June 7, I consider myself a Barcelona player and only think about the taste of being a European champion again. Hopefully we can make history with this club. After that, I will announce my decision.

"The coach is happy with my work, but the life of a professional is based on trust and if you do not have a complete trust with the club, things don't go as expected.
"I have not spoken with Luis Enrique about my future. He has enough to deal with. My problem is mine. If it goes well or bad I will be responsible."I don't want him or Lionel Messi to get involved."

Barca take on Athletic Bilbao on May 30 in the Copa del Rey final before they face Juventus in the Champions League final as they look to win the treble.

:)Depay can emulate Ronaldo at Man Utd - Park

    memphis-depay-psv_1sb5qmcc2lttl1a1esw9opa2gs.jpg

Park Ji-Sung believes that Memphis Depay can emulate Cristiano Ronaldo at Manchester United next season.

United have agreed a deal to acquire the Netherlands international from PSV this summer, and the 21-year-old has already outlined his desire to match the Portuguese’s achievements at Old Trafford, though he insists he will not copy the Real Madrid superstar.

Park played alongside Depay at PSV during his second stint at the club in 2013-14, and the South Korean has lavished praise on the forward prior to his move to Old Trafford.

"He’s still a young player – only 21 years old – but I played with him and he has so much potential: he has strength, passing ability and skill," Park told MUTV.

"Some people say he’s like Cristiano Ronaldo and I can imagine that – he really has the desire to be the best player and United can help him achieve that. It’s a really good signing for both him and the club, and I’m sure he’ll show his quality for us."

Park won four Premier League titles and the Champions League during his seven-year spell at United, and he concedes he has found it tough to watch them this season after they missed out on Champions League football.

The 34-year-old, though, believes that they can build on Louis van Gaal’s first season in charge and perform well in next year's tournament.

"It has been painful for me not to see United in the Champions League but now we have to look forward and prepare well for next season’s competition," he added.

"It was our first aim to finish in the top four after the disappointment of last season and we’ve done that. We’ve performed very well in some games this season, so hopefully we can build on that."

:shocked:Madrid announce conference to confirm Ancelotti exit

    carlo-ancelotti-archive_mr3lmlceaebx1a0njc6qxv33g.jpg

Real Madrid have called a press conference for 20:00CET on Monday, where president Florentino Perez is expected to announce the departure of coach Carlo Ancelotti.

The Italian trainer led Los Blancos to victory in both the Champions League and the Copa del Rey last season, before overseeing a club-record 22-game winning streak during the first half of the current campaign that culminated in Club World Cup glory in December.

However, Madrid's form dipped after the winter break, resulting in Barcelona overhauling them at the top of La Liga, Copa del Rey elimination at the hands of Atletico Madrid and a shock European semi-final exit at the hands of Juventus.

Ancelotti's likely dismissal was immediately reported after their semi-final loss to the Bianconeri and will now be confirmed at a specially arranged press conference in the Spanish capital on Monday.

Perez is expected to meet with Ancelotti in the afternoon to inform him of the decision to sack him. A source at the club told Goal that "there is no other possibility than firing Carlo".The club's chief will then speak to the media in the evening to make it official.

Ancelotti has already revealed that while he has received offers from clubs in Italy, England and Germany, with AC Milan even sending CEO Adriano Galliani to Madrid to meet with their former boss, the 55-year-old will take a year out of the game as he must undergo surgery in Canada this summer.

Ancelotti is expected to be replaced as Madrid boss by Rafael Benitez, whose contract with Serie A outfit Napoli expires at the end of June.

Rooney: Man United missing out on Champions League would be a disaster

    wayne-rooney-manchester-united_l87yneeznfvr1oe4xdv6s3ufl.jpg

Wayne Rooney insists Manchester United avoided "a disaster" by securing Champions League qualification for next season.

United finished fourth in the Premier League table as they ensured their place back in Europe's elite club competition following an absence this season.

And captain Rooney believes it was imperative Louis van Gaal's side finished in the top four given their stature in the world game.

“The least we wanted was a top-four finish because, after last season, for this football club it would've been a disaster if we didn't make the top four,” he told Sky Sports.

“It would have been nice to win some silverware - that's why the Arsenal defeat in the FA Cup was so disappointing - but in terms of the Premier League, the most vital thing for us was getting in the top four.”

Otamendi wants to leave Valencia, says agent

    nicolas-otamendi-valencia-celta-liga-bbva-05172015_1u4ydp60rj6fc1eoohhatiu2l5.jpg

Nicolas Otamendi's agent insists the centre-back will do “everything possible” to leave Valencia this summer.

Reports in Argentina have claimed that the 27-year-old has already signed a pre-contract agreement with Manchester United, although the defender’s representative, Eugenio Lopez, denied this in an interview with Cadena SER Valencia on Monday.

Otamendi’s agent also indicated that United will need to meet the Argentine’s €50 million release clause in order to secure a deal.

"Nicolas is comfortable with Valencia and the fans but will have an option to improve his career,” said Lopez.

“Jorge Mendes already knows that Nico wants to leave Valencia. Nico will do everything possible to get it, he will do everything possible to leave.

“If there's an offer from a club we consider a top club, and it benefits his family, Nico wants to go.

"There are many discussions with several clubs who want to sign Otamendi.”

Two Roma fans stabbed before Lazio clash

    stadio-olimpico-general-view_sxuf3sm7t5d41it2ry92kz1rq.jpg

Two Roma fans have been hospitalised after being stabbed outside the Stadio Olimpico ahead of their derby with Lazio , according to reports in Italy.

Fan violence surrounding the Rome derby is unfortunately a common feature as the two heated rivals go head-to-head on the pitch.

The two supporters were said to have been attacked before Monday's meeting at the Stadio Olimpico in what could prove to be a crucial match in the race for second place in Serie A.

The victims are reported to be at the Gemelli Hospital in Rome, though the pair are not believed to be in critical condition. So far, there has been no statements from the police, hospitals or either club on the matter, with respected news agency ANSA having confirmed the details.

This Rome derby promised to be even more intense than usual with a Giallorossi victory securing second place and guaranteeing a place in the group stage of next season's Champions League.A victory for Lazio will allow them to leapfrog their bitter rivals from third place in Serie A.

Lazio 1-2 Roma: Garcia's men win it late to secure runner-up spot

    1436242_heroa.jpg

Lazio's place in the Champions League is still not secure after they were beaten 2-1 by arch-rivals Roma on Monday.

With Napoli losing 3-1 at champions Juventus on Saturday, Lazio knew a point would be enough to see them clinch third place in Serie A make a return to Europe's premier club competition after a seven-year absence. But Lazio were undone by their biggest foes at Stadio Olimpico after a pulsating second half.

Juan Iturbe gave Roma the lead in the 73rd minute, only for Filip Djordjevic to level eight minutes later with a close-range header.

However, Roma, playing as the visitors in this fixture, had the last laugh five minutes from time when defender Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa rose highest to head Miralem Pjanic's free-kick into the bottom-left corner and net his first goal for the club.

The result sets up a mouthwatering final-day clash between Lazio and Napoli at the Stadio San Paolo. Napoli are three points behind Lazio and - despite an inferior goal difference - would finish third with a win courtesy of a better head-to-head record.

Miroslav Klose had the best chance of a fiery first half in the fifth minute, but the Lazio striker sent his unmarked header wide. Victor Ibarbo fired narrowly off target from a corner in the 70th minute, yet the Roma substitute atoned for that miss by getting to the byline and pulling back for Iturbe to flick home three minutes later.

Roma's lead was brief, though, as Lazio produced a well-worked equaliser, Djordjevic nodding home after Klose had headed Felipe Anderson's far-post ball back across goal.

Yet there was to be one last sting in the tail when France international Yanga-Mbiwa leapt to turn Pjanic's whipped delivery beyond the outstretched arm of Lazio goalkeeper Federico Marchetti.

Toure is staying at Man City, says agent

    yaya-toure-barcelona-manchester-city-champions-league-18032015_14mva35o70mpv1orxqmzbv1kgj.jpg

Yaya Toure will stay at Manchester City this summer, according to the midfielder’s agent.

The midfielder is one of the players expected to be sold in City’s major squad overhaul this summer and former Blues boss Roberto Mancini has said he would like to reunite with him at Inter this summer.

And earlier this month, Toure’s agent, Dimitri Seluk, claimed the Ivorian, who has made 29 Premier League appearances for City this term, was “90 per cent certain” to leave at the end of the season.

But on Monday, Seluk told Sky Sports News that City have informed him that Toure is "too important to let go".

Toure still has two years remaining on his current deal with City, which is worth around €300,000 a week.

    :shocked:Real Madrid sack Ancelotti

    1427522_heroa.jpg

Real Madrid have announced they have sacked Carlo Ancelotti as head coach.

The Italian coach has been widely expected to leave the Santiago Bernabeu this summer after a disappointing end to the 2014-15 season, which saw Madrid lose out to Barcelona in the Liga title race and exit the Champions League at the semi-final stage at the hands of Juventus.

The reigning European champions have now confirmed they have parted ways with the man who delivered La Decima to the club.

Madrid president Florentino Perez said: "I want to tell you that we have decided to relieve Carlo Ancelotti of his duties as Real Madrid coach. It’s been a very difficult decision for the board but as I always say, we haven’t come here to take the easy decisions but the best decisions for the institution.

"Carlo Ancelotti in these two years, has won the affection of the board and my personal affection and that of the fans. Carlo is part of our history. But as we all know, in Madrid the demands are great. We think it’s time for a new impulse which can allow us to win new titles and achieve our maximal level of competitiveness.

"With our great team, talent and hard work we can give satisfaction and success to our fans. I want to thank Carlo for his hard work in the last two years and tell him this is still is house and home. Next week we will know the name of the new coach of Real Madrid.

When asked about the possible candidates for the job, Perez added: "It would be good if the new manager spoke Spanish."
Ancelotti delivered four trophies at Madrid in a remarkable 2014, as the Blancos won the Copa del Rey, Champions League, European Super Cup and Club World Cup.

    1434732.jpg

The former Paris Saint-Germain boss has been linked with a return to AC Milan, where he won Serie A and two Champions League titles, with Rossoneri CEO Adriano Galliani heading to the Spanish capital to meet with Ancelotti. Rumours in England also linked West Ham with a shock approach for the former midfielder.

However, the 55-year-old confirmed after Madrid's 7-3 thrashing of Getafe that he intends to take a year's sabbatical from the game in order to undergo surgery on a nervous complaint.

Napoli boss Rafa Benitez is the favourite to succeed Ancelotti at Santiago Bernabeu.

Schneiderlin: I'll leave Southampton for a Champions League club

    455355_heroa.jpg

Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin has admitted he wants to move to another Premier League team to fulfil his ambitions of Champions League football.

The 25-year-old was the subject of a transfer battle with Tottenham last summer but his club - who had already sold Rickie Lambert, Luke Shaw, Adam Lallana and Dejan Lovren - rejected approaches.

Goal revealed earlier this month that Southampton have told potential suitors Arsenal and Tottenham they must pay £25 million for his services with the Gunners still keen despite the emergence of Francis Coquelin.

"Yes, I think my decision is made," he told French radio station, RMC. "I learned a lot last season. The goal is to stay in England, it is a championship that I like and where I have a lot of fun.

"If I leave Southampton it is for a club that plays better than the Europa League.

"There are ongoing discussions, but nothing is done. But of course the Champions League is my goal. If I leave Southampton it will be for a club in the Champions League.

"I have a two-year contract, if a club pays the right amount for me it will be time to leave.

"The amount? I have no idea, but I will not leave for a small price. Southampton is known to be a good seller club, the price should be high enough."

The France international missed the end of the season with a knee ligament injury suffered against Tottenham in April and rues not being able to wear the Saints shirt one final time.

He said: "My injury is getting better. I still have the left knee ligament that suffers a bit, but I can run. I'll enjoy the holiday to recover.

"I wanted to wear this jersey again, it's an honour. So it’s annoying. But then I'll be able to recover and have a good season next year."

:yes:Champions League qualification is not a 'piece of cake', warns Van Gaal

    1432762_heroa.jpg

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has warned his side that qualifying for the Champions League proper will not be a "piece of cake" after their fourth place finish secured a play-off spot.

The Red Devils missed out on a place in Europe's elite tournament last season after a disastrous campaign under David Moyes saw them finish in seventh place.

However, United will return to the competition next season and face a two-legged play-off in August which, if they were to lose, would see them drop into the Europa League instead,

Van Gaal's side will be seeded for the draw for the play-offs which takes place on August 7, but even so the Dutchman has warned his team they must not take qualification for granted.

"First we have to qualify ourselves still because we have to play two matches to qualify for the Champions League and that’s not so easy," he told MUTV.

"I hope that we succeed but still we have to be aware that it’s not like it’s a piece of cake.

"But I have a lot of confidence that we qualify ourselves but first I want to hear the draw and then we will talk about it."

Should Manchester United win their play-off they will be placed in Pot 2 for the draw for the Champions League group stages.

Wenger fears Alexis Sanchez burnout after 'unreasonable' Copa America

    1370462_heroa.jpg

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says he fears for the health of Alexis Sanchez with the Chilean set to feature in this summer's "unreasonable" Copa America.

Sanchez has excelled in his debut campaign for the Gunners and will hope to add to his tally of 24 goals from 51 games when he faces Aston Villa in the FA Cup final on Saturday.

The 26-year-old was granted permission from Chile to feature in the final and join their Copa America squad at a later date for their opening game on June 11, but Wenger feels he could be left exhausted.

"I will watch but with a little bit of fear because Sanchez has played 50 games for us and goes there again, having already played in the World Cup last summer," he told reporters.

"You are a little bit concerned and I feel this competition is a bit too much. I am really surprised that Fifa authorised that.

"It's disappointing that they speak a lot about the health of the players but when you look at the competition that is organised, this Copa America, and look at the date of the start of the Premier League, it is not reasonable.

"Moving the fixture calendar forward deeply affects pre-season and I believe it is the wrong decision of the Premier League to start on August 8.

"The players have played the World Cup, then you have no winter break, you come out and when you reach the FA Cup Final, you play on May 30 and the European players called up by their international teams play until June 14.

"Then you start on August 8. If you count six weeks' preparation, where is the time for recovery?"
