again failed. wtf. seriously ISPs pay for number of GB/MB? lol man.
"The ISP pays for bandwidth capacity at the point of interconnect. "

ISP doesn't pay for number of gigabyte or megabyte as it doesn't make any sense. megabyte/gigabyte ain't limited like water/sugar/ or anything like physical things.you can make new data whenever you want so how come someone charges for GB?yeah some ISPs charge from consumers like that so they can make money but ISPs are charged for bandwidth.
imagine you send 5 Terabyte data through your local network but they never run out because you can keep sending over and over again and again because GB/MB is unlimited, you can buy movies, songs or whatever you want and send them through your local network, but imagine you use the same line for multiple connections? then you give a heavy stress to the line and there is a delay for data transmission so you need another line, when you want another like then you have to spend money.most of tier 1 ISPs charge for the bandwidth so everyone who connected to the network can send limited number of data within a given second so other users won't be disturbed. the important thing is cable load within a given time not the volume.
