Batman: Arkham Knight PC will not support SLI, Crossfire

Batman: Arkham Knight is never going to make use of your dual GPU set up. Sorry.

The PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight is working – mostly – but the various teams working on it have decided not to continue pursuing SLI and Crossfire support, meaning many players can’t get the most our of their hardware.

“We’ve been working with our development and graphics driver partners over the last few months to investigate utilizing multi-GPU support within Batman: Arkham Knight,” a team member identified as wb.elder.pliny wrote in response to a Steam Community query.

“The result was that even the best case estimates for performance improvements turned out to be relatively small given the high risk of creating new issues for all players. As a result we’ve had to make the difficult decision to stop work on further multi-GPU support.”The representative said Warner Bros. is “disappointed” that it wasn’t practical to offer support for multi8-GPU usage, and apologised to “those who have been waiting for this feature”.

As absolutely everyone must be aware by now, the PC port of Batman:Arkham Knight had a disastrous launch and was pulled from sale for months.

It’s back now, but it’s never going to be a very jolly experience for some players, and Warner Bros. is still offering refunds to those who are disappointed by how the game runs on their rigs.

On the bright side, Warner Bros. is looking to change how it handles port development and release as a result of this mess, apparently.

:cool:Fallout 4 sells over 500K units week one in the UK

Fallout 4 has sold over 500,000 copies at retail in the UK during its first week on sale.

Fallout 4 continues to break sales records in the UK and the rest of the world. Having topped the UK charts on its release week and become the third biggest 2015 launch in the country, it has now been revealed it did so with the help of over 500,000 units.

The number only covers retail sales across PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, according to GfK Chart-Track data. Fallout 4 is now the 18th all-time fastest-selling game in terms of units in the UK.The number represents £24 million in revenue for Bethesda.

The publisher has announced earlier that it has shipped 12 million units worldwide, and that demand was high enough for it to produce even more.
Fallout 4’s massive sales didn’t just happen at retail, either, the game has sold over 1.87 million units digitally across Steam, PSN, and Xbox Live, according to SuperData.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided delayed by six months - "no compromise on quality"

Square Enix has announced a six month delay for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.Originally slated for release on February 23, the game will now arrive on August 23.

According to Eidos Montreal boss David Anfossi the delay will allow the team to make “post-production” improvements in order to “deliver the best game” it can.“We’re confident and proud of the game so far,” he wrote in a blog post.

“However, as we are now playing through the game in full we can see that it will require more time in post-production for tuning, iterations and refinement to meet our high standards.“We are sorry to disappoint you with this news, and also thank you for all of your support and comments. This game is a huge part of our lives, and we don’t want to compromise on its quality.

“It’s a huge responsibility to work on Deus Ex Mankind Divided – we know, but also a huge privilege. We’re determined to deliver the best game we can.”
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided takes place in 2029, two years after the events of Human Revolution and was officially announced in April of this year.
It is in development for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
