I met an interesting guy who repairs european cars, and he told me if you don't earn more than 200000 rupees a month don't think of buying a euro car. when i met him he was fixing suspension on an audi a4. said it costs nearly 100000 to properly fix suspension of one wheel, where as it costs less than 50000 for all four corners on a japanese car

No machan there are good aftermarket parts for Euro cars but the problem is whether they are available in Sri Lanka or not. However there is also E-bay. European Luxury cars are full of unnecessary gadgets and stupid engineering gimmicks. Germans are known to over engineer their products where Japanese cars which are produced for mass markets are relatively simple and straight forward.

The reliability of the German cars are also won't last more than 3 years. After that parts begins to fail. So when the over engineered parts fail they tend to cost a fortune to fix and there are more parts to fail means that their is a higher chance that the old Euro will stay in the garage rather than in your home.
