machan I think when it comes to refrigerators LG is one of the best brands you can buy from Sri Lankan market, buy it from the agent, don't worry much about where it was manufactured because the technology is from the mother company, they are relocating their factories for logistic reasons and to reduce the production cost.
I think you can save a lot if you can buy from the Duty-free.
Actually I was a R and D engineer in the designing of a refrigerator for a reputed company in Sri Lanka, there I tested the several refrigerator compressors from several brands, to be honest LG did not perform bad at all, it was only second to the Panasonic compressor.
When it comes to innovation and design LG is up there with the very best too.
Panasonic is also another good option too.
If you are too concerned about the electricity consumption go for a direct cool refrigerator otherwise best option is to go for a non-frost one because these days technology is so advanced that most the refrigerators are very energy efficient it doesn't make much of a difference.

වෙන රටකින් ගෙන්නන්නත් බලනවා. Warranty නැති වෙන එක තමයි ප්‍රශ්නේ. ඒත් මෙහෙට වඩා Quality එක තියෙයි. එහෙම බැරි වුනොත් ඉතින් මෙහෙ තියෙන එකක් තමයි ගන්න වෙන්නේ.

sinhagiri, abans kiyanne dan dekama ekai ban... Abans karaya sinhagiriya salli deela gatta resources ekkama, danata 2yrs back. Abans eke staff eken 1/2kut sinhagiriyata damma..eka nisa oya moken gatttat ekai, ekama profit margin tiyala un denne.

btw danata 3-4yrs back fridge vala timer case ekak vela tibuna, item 200-300 ka fault eka tibuna, but kaurut dannet na, eka gana avadanen hitiya eun (electricity bill) abans gihin ( ekat fix kare IT service - duplication ) kara gatta, abans eken recall kare na e fridge tika, eka nisa gannavanam parissamin, after service itin homben tama yanna venne.ekat mataka tiya ganin
