So far, this is the only method I was successful @ flashing the original ROM for RN3(MediaTek) phones which came with custom ROMs.

I couldn't even unlock the bootloader eventhough I got the permissions to do so. I was able to unlock the bootloader only after flashing Original ROM via this method. So, please be careful when u buy Xiaomi devices from online stores as well as local shops. Most of them come preinstalled with custom ROMs which have many bloatware. Ask the seller to not to install any third party ROMs. Otherwise it will become a pain in the ass. Cheers!
