:love:Sony’s first-party titles officially coming to the PC, Horizon Zero Dawn in Q4 2018, God of War in 2019

Sony has officially announced that it will bring all of its first-party titles on the PC platform. In an effort to appeal to a broader audience, the Japanese company will release a couple of games later this year, and more titles in 2019.

Going into more details, in 2018 Sony will release Killzone: Shadow Fall, The Order 1886 and Horizon Zero Dawn on the PC. Of course this does not really surprise us these third-person titles are an excellent fit for the PC. After all, back in 2015 Ready At Dawn showcased The Order 1886 running on the PC at 60fps. Killzone: Shadow Fall is planned for a Q2 2018, whereas The Order 1886 will come to the PC in Q3 2018 and Horizon Zero Dawn is expected to come out in Q4 2018.

In 2019, Sony plans to release Driveclub, Gran Turismo Sport, Uncharted 4 and God of War. Sony did not reveal the release window for these titles, and stated that more details about them will be available early next year.

To be honest, this does not really surprise us. During this generation we’ve seen a lot of games – that were previously released exclusively on PS4 – coming to the PC. God Eater 3, CODE VEIN, Ni no Kuni 2, No Man’s Sky, DRAGON QUEST XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age, New Gundam Breaker and ZONE OF THE ENDERS: THE 2nd RUNNER MARS are some examples of this.

As Sony’s new CEO, Kenichiro Yoshida, said:
“Sony is making its next step towards expanding its video-game library on the PC. Our first step was with PlayStation Now which allowed PC gamers experience a wide range of Playstation 4 games and we are now ready for our second big phase.”
