Edit: Maybe 800x600 way too small at least for a 4k screen maybe try 1024x768

First card died within a week man . Have you read those articles ? There is an issue with the new chip , which Nvidia doesn't want to admit. Lucky I got my RMA sorted in 3 days. Fingers crossed for this one .

AFK the issue is in memory new GDDR6 get really hot maybe downclocking memory fix it?

I'm using a 1080 since 2016. he has been a really good boy to me for the past few years Anyhow my next GPU will be from AMD. i have lost faith in nvidia because of their greed. Trying to build a Ryzen powered PC. Currently going with these. Still unsure of the GPU

why not wait for Q1 or 2019 AMD new 7nm vega chips will come if what they say is true they are much more powerful than 580.

and that is why i'm not going ahead with this build yet. i'm not looking for 4k gaming i just want to play atleast at 1080p or 1440p with 60 fps. RX 590 is coming so going to wait it out

1080 is still a beast , last gen card prices have gone up since the RTX shenanigan. I have disappointing results with multi nvidia GPU setups man. Performance doesn't scale well . Not to mention the power consumption. One thing I've learnt was one card is always better than multi GPUs.

If I were you I'd buy the rest , keep the 1080 and wait for the RED team to make their next GPU. Are you running 4K ?

RX590 still use 12NM Polaris chip i don't think its going to be faster than GTX1080 or a 1070 best thing to do is wait for vega chips to come form AMD they say it will come in Q1 of 2019.



hopefully AMD will make good chips this time than 400-500 series or Nvidia will over price there GPU again maybe this time Nvidia make sure 60 series card price starts form 700+ USD. nvidia greed have no limits.
