USA is a Federal country. Sri Lanka is not. In USA it really doesn't matter who the president is as long as he has the support of house and senate. In Sri Lanka President is the one who runs the whole country.

Trump has been involved in politics since 1999. He analysed the hell out of US politics before running for president. Twice he backed down from elections because he wasn't going to win. But with Obama leaving he saw the opportunity and took it. He was getting ready to win the election and stated that in public since 2012 and had major players in the republican party backed him up. He is not just a Businessman he is a freaking genius in politics as well.
Did you think one day Trump woke up and thought that he should run for president and the next day he started his campaign. You fucking fool

trump did not have any support from Republican party , they only supported reluctantly when he won the nomination , and yes trump ran for nomination in reform party then withdrew, he knew in america u gotta come from either dem or gop
