It appears that a remastered version of Modern Warfare 2 is on its way. PEGI has rated Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered, hinting towards a Remaster version for the game’s single-player campaign mode.

As its description reads, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered is a combat simulation game in which the player takes the roles of various members of a Special Operations team attempting to thwart the plans of a Russian.The game has been PEGI 18 which restricts availability to adults only, and this rating has been given due to strong violence and the use of sexual expletive.

Now the PEGI page for the PS4 version lists a February 28th, 2019, release date but as you may have guessed this looks more like a placeholder date and nothing more.​
