Ye. Massdrop has a variety of community-driven products with exclusive designs, especially, audiophile products among other stylish stuff. But i wouldn't go it from there unless you're so into what you're buying.
From what he's asking, he'd better go for a casual listening pair of Cans like Sony's and Bose's entertainment series.

or are those headphones incapable of dealing with sudden noises even the ones with law amplitudes ? like when you knock on the door or something like that ?
Not excatly true because some of their stuff is way worthy than it's price.
For example the pair I use, 58x Jubilee has similar drivers to the HD650 which is a $500 pair.
& I got it for $115 + Around $50 for shipping+tax to get it here.
Very much worth the price.
And if you go for shopping with around $170 here in SL, You can get something like ATX M50X (Which is a really good pair) but not as good as these as per reviews. It's subjective ofc.

Massdrop will give you what you pay for, I know it's not a scam, even though it kinda feels like a "too good to be true" situation. Do you know how can they give good deals on these products that are obviously more on other sites?
Well, through the power of buying bulk. They gather interest for products and get people to pledge to buy something if they can get a price for that product. They then approach the manufacturer with a bid for X amount of product at Y price. Something about manufacturing is that selling a bunch of inventory (a sure thing) is better than selling a few at a higher price, and potentially having too much inventory. This is why sales happen, but I digress. This dealing between massdrop and the manufacturer is what makes shipping a product often take months. If you order something on massdrop you will often wait weeks or even months to get your product.
In a nutshell, massdrop is the means in which a bunch of people get together to get bulk pricing.
If you can easily wait then its worth using massdrop, if you want it now, then just buy normally unless the product says it will ship right away.
