UAE confirms Wuhan virus case in family from China

DUBAI: The United Arab Emirates announced Wednesday (Jan 29) its first case of the new coronavirus, in a family from Wuhan, in what is thought to be the first confirmed case in the Middle East.

"The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention announced a case of the new coronavirus affecting people from one family coming from the city of Wuhan in China," the state news agency WAM reported, without saying how many were infected.

Most damage from this virus in Sri Lanka will not be caused by the virus itself. It will be caused by the fuckwits who fuel mass hysteria by spreading unverified rumors and do online fear mongering i.e FB page admins, fuckers who forward and share any dumb shit they come across on WhatApp, retards on online forums trying to be self important, etc etc.

Check the WatchDog app before you share anything. They have debunked most of the horeshit rumors that spread around with proof and facts.

I tend to agree with you on scare mongering. Some posters do extract from fakebook, and these tend not to be factual.. But I guess they are few in numbers. Many do with good intentions and some need to get information from others that might be of some help. So don't blame en-masse.
