Does any of you guys have a clue on how many ICU beds we can decant? As an example, a typical 800 bed hospital might have only 8 ICU beds.- that's both combined medical and surgical. If that guy works for NHSL he will have a rough idea of the resources we have.

Hope it doesn't reach upto a disaster level. The main thing is control and contact tracing. This is what Singapore did. They claim more than 85% contact tracing and success in containment. They are the ones who first cancelled flights to & from China. At that time the WHO wasn't even considering it.
But still they do have new cases propping up, mostly arrivals from outside Singapore.

Suffice to say that the only countries that handled the Covid virus properly are Singapore, Taiwan & Hong Kong.
South Korea did a marvellous job of testing - probably the only country who managed to do it -but a bit too late to avert the disaster.
Compared with S. Korea, USA is going to be an abysmal failure, unless they lift their game.

I reserve making any comments on China.. It's a waste of time.

I wrote in plural form... Who didn't come out with the truth is China.What did they quarantine? The truth and the voices of the medical staff. They did censor, distract and lie from the very beginning. That's why I earlier said they never learnt a lesson from 2003. This was a repeat of that episode. They did exactly the same with no regard to others...
If you remember when this started I commented that the Chinese are doing a crime against all humanity. That's exactly came true.
Anyone can agree with me or not. It's up to each individual. But I do have more information than that's available in public and these are not from FB, Twitter or WeChat.
