The hard surface story was a confusion. Many stated the incorrect fact based on other viruses.

If you search my older posts, when this issue was first raised, I stated that Corona viruses are different and can stay active for 28 days at 4 Deg C, 2 days on currency notes, 4 days on stainless steel and only for 15 mins at -65 Deg C (minus)
At that time nobody had tested the Covid. The figures i gave was based on research on the SARS virus (2003) - because both are similar.

The only ever instance a cat was suspected, was the famous Amoy Gardens Apartment incident in HongKong - 2003. But later it was found that it was not really the cats.

Haven't seen this but if that's the case that 3% had a mild Covid infection..... there's no innate immunity against this damned virus.

But 3% is nothing... The only hope is a vaccine. I wrote early in the morning that the Chinese have reported success with monkeys. That's hopeful.

Three weeks later, the group introduced SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, into the monkeys’ lungs through tubes down their tracheas, and none developed a full-blown infection.

PS: Seems to be hopeful news. This team resorted to the age old methodology of developing a vaccine using an inactivated version of the virus. We have to wait till the human trials are over to see whether it's going to be effective.
