mind set of sri lankan people. thats why. discussion here is about getting a vehicle with gear problems and not having 4-10 lax to repair it. why not get a maintenance free car with unmatched options and save it for few years. seem practical to me

after few years you will be able to buy a leaf for 5 laks or less... big loss even under current price..
so better to get vezel and replace the gear box for 4 lacks. with time that 4 laks cost will come down to 1lak with recondition parts availability and vezel will have a more resale value than the leaf..

thats the issue. people buy vehicles to sell. not to use. if you have the proper setup theres no cost at all for this car ryt? think of the savings. u buy a vehicle and within 1 year you loose 30% of its market value. so no point getting new vehicles. getting it is based on what u want to use it for. Just an option. with colombo traffic any vehicle is useless
