Questions Refrigerators: Manual Defrost vs Frost Free

Hi Friends!

We're planing on buying a new refrigerators. I've been reading and watching videos on both types, their pros and cons, etc. Further, as we're living in Sri Lanka, I'd like to know more about these two types and your experience and knowledge about these two types as "Sri Lankans", so we can decide which type might be more suitable for us. Please consider the following facts before replying.

• For a small family/couple
• At our home, we have used a "manual defrost" one. Now, we're using a "frost-free" one.
• We prefer a one with "energy saving" benefits
• Prefere a "less noisy" one
• Best brands, models, shops to buy
• We prefer to buy one for installments

Considering your requirements, I would say to go ahead for a Frost free model. I have a Damro Frost free which I've purchased in 2017. No issues so far. Energy efficient, Silent and hassle free.

We checked some models @ Damro, Panadura. I was not much impressed about their outer designs.

Totally agree with you. It's not elegant and I did have the same impression.. But since they have a good rapport, I purchased one from them
