Rs6500 per kilo for farmed Norwegian salmon?

Fuking hell. That's bloody expensive. I eat salmon atleast 2 times a week and 1 kg is £6 for me. Retail price is around £14-25 (price depend on salmon variety and if its farmed or wild organic)

Salmon is ideal as a grilled fillet with lime. You can make curry but not suitable for spicy curry. Also don't cook way too much. Ideally mid heat and cook only for 10-15min.

6 GBP per kilo?? that's 11 AUD fkcing cheap
It's that cheap because they are farmed salmon. Isn't it?

I buy wild caught salmon(atlantica, pacific or tasmanian) which is nearly 3 times expensive than that.

However, my life goal is to eat Norwegian salmon one day.

I work at retail Wearhouse management. We get stuff bloody cheap when they are within 3 days of expiry date.

Regadles they are wild or farmed they are £3 per 500g .

We sell wild salmon for £15 per 500g pack but we buy it for £3 when expires within next 3 days.

To be honest my whole family food cost is around £15-20max per week.

    Chicken 1kg £0.50p-£1
    Fish is almost always £2-£3
    Bread/milk/any bakery products £0.20p
    Porridge £0.50p
    Any vegetable £0.20p
    Ready meals £0.50p-£1

Prices cheper if I buy products closer to expire date. I usually buy chicken and freeze them. If you buy and freeze product before expire they are good untill you defrost. Once defrosted you need to eat within 1 day.

Here it's not that cheap. They reduce the prices when the item's best before date is due around one day or so.
    I do not buy them.

    Yes I'm a manager.

If you freeze them, dont have to worry about food poisoning even if its past expire date. Once defrosted eat within same day.

We have to pass food health and safety course and that's one of the main things we got to know.

However if you kept them in your home fridge and put them in freezer once close to expire, is not recommended as domestic fridge is constantly change their temperature due to open and close. Industrial fridge is designed to maintain temperature even if they have open windows.

If you buy stuff that expire within next 2-3 days put them to freezer immediately after purchase.

UK prices are high pretty much equal to Australia
    මම හිතන්නෙ UK prices ඔසී වලට වඩා වැඩි. අඩුම කට් එක තියන බීෆ් කිලෝ එකක් £9-10 විතර වෙනවා.

    92nW9JB.jpg

ehe Tuna (kelawalla balaya alagoduwa) mehe wagema rasada
