It is not good as people commented on glassdoor and other places.
I got an offer and asked one of my friends who used to work there, according to him,
- most of the positions are contract basis
- office experience depends on the client and most clients are not pleasant to work with
- there is a lot of political drama going on and people got fired due to political reasons
True,,not as good as they are advertised. Poddak unprofessional recruiting teams ehema. Specially the heads / seniors of TA are cunning buggers (M**/ Man**)...They literally tell anything that comes to their mind as facts.
Also I know for a fact that they could not afford a somewhat decent package..not too much, just a little high, but well within the average pay scales .
even that was offered by lowering basics, adding pegged amounts etc to match,,,which was a terrible approach..Work culture depends on the client...even your increments, pay and all depend on the client... Gapstars do nothing except the TA and HR part..if the client doesn't want you anymore, you are done. Simple as that.
The next thing to add to the list of ridiculous things about gapstars is their plans to relocate to Portugal..They are planning to offer the employees to relocate to portugal, but they are giving only your current salary you're receiving here in SL...
and the amounts in general are way less than average SE salaries in Portugal (given the cost of living in Lisbon - mind that lisbon is currently a top ranked tourist destination.) - Imagine renting out apartments which costs about 200k in LKR + groceries + travelling costs and all..you can save much more here in SL. )If you want to migrate, apply direct to those companies...don't go through agencies like this
- Their sole intention is to retain the people are who are planning to migrate to better countries due to the current crisis here in SL).If you have anything to ask, ask me. I have many contacts who are working there - and I'm well aware of their internal news

Final thought is that Gapstars is basically a recruiting company. Not a tech company

Also in terms of job security, if you are joining a well eshtablished client, then you are somewhat safe. I know they have clients who are just couple of months old..even the management doesn't know how long the projects would last, or whether they would stay with them for any longer
