I had this for about 1 year.

Works perfectly, haven't set or adjusted time in about 6 months :D

Keep checking for Aqua Terra`s on used market machan (FB marketplace and stuff). An year or two year old watch can easily be had for about 50% off retail price..

I almost bought this and gave up the idea in June last year, glad I did because they loose a lot of value in the used market.

    view

The same watches` price before February 2023 price hike (in Aussy Dollars):

AFTER February 2023`s price hike :

    1675228030231.png

So today`s price (After July price hike) is AU$9,750.00, so that`s a crazy $1325 price increase just within this year.

Aqua Terra is a good watch, but I dont think it`s an almost $10k watch, specially considering depreciation in second hand market. So the used market is the way to go for an Aqua Terra me thinks.

Just playing with some of the favorites in my stable..

The quality and finishing of this entry level Grand Seiko is quite amazing. Even compared to the entry level Rolex, Japanese Zaratsu polishing is really something else.. Makes me so want to get a Grand Seiko sports watch one day...

    Is this chronograph Seiko quartz?

    Yes, Solar, Calibre V192..

There`s a mechanical "Speedtimer" range too.. Using Calibre 8R46.. There are few color combinations, but i dont think there`s a "Panda" dial in this mechanical range..

    SRQ043J1_x15.jpg

^^ This is not cheap at around $4695 (AUD). Quite a bit of money for a Calibre which is not even close to COSC certified precision levels.

    Caliber Number: 8R46
Movement Type: Automatic with manual winding
Precision: +25 to -15 seconds per day
    Power reserve: Approx. 45 hours

In other news, a Hamilton Intra-Matic Chrono is a popular mechanical Chronograph with a "Panda" dial.

Retail price is about $1000 less than the Seiko above. Hamilton`s H31 automatic chronograph movement is specified as a 60-hour power reserve, though i cant find exact details about it`s accuracy..

    Dial නම් ඉතින් seiko තමයි.
Grand Seiko elevate this in to next level.
My favourite is the Grand Seiko White Birch SLGH005.
I can look at this dial for hours.🤤

Oh yes, think I've tried this on before.. Though i prefer the subtleness of the Snowflake better..

Had this old photo of a watch I tried, not a 100% sure whether this is White Birch tough, i thought it was a bit too silvery and sharp at the time so wasn't really a fan.

    view

Then there is this blue`ish dial too... Cant remember the reference or the watch name but...

Yes yes the 1st one is the white birch.
It s very attention grabbing watch. Personally I like that "look at me now" effect on a watch.

2nd one is grand Seiko GMT “Shōsho” SBGJ249. Its dial mimicks the water ripples in a lake surface.

Other than that Birch family has 3 another models.
    White Birch spring drive
    Green Birch
    Night Birch

    Meka Seiko Turtle wage

I buy quartz/solar because I want quartz/solar. I have no need for all automatics which are mostly not accurate after a month or not running after sitting idle for a few days.
Sorry man if I pissed you off 😑
