Even a mac mini?

Any M4 with a unified memory of 16GB is useless if you are going to use it for anything other than just web browsing. Unified memory is used as both system ram and vram so you do the calculations. Even in my windows if I'm going to edit a quality video the 32GB of system ram runs out in a while and Vram of 6GB runs out immediately when I open the fusion tab in davinci resolve. Forget about running a decent LLM locally as parameters need 2-3 times VRam GBs per 1B parameters. For consuming content - 16GB would be enough but running two high quality monitors with a bunch of chrome tabs would defenitely result in paging. That means SSD dies quickly -> useless brick that cannot be repaired. On top of that Apple AI needs a lot of ram as well. 16GB version is a bait.

Thank you for your valuable information brother.
I watched some youtube videos and they says that we can edit videos that are not much complex with them and their rendering time is also very impressive. And also they show that we can run multiple apps smoothly.
But, when I was reading a sub-editor for mac mini, they also encourage to buy at least 24GB with 512GB mac mini with different reasons and they make sense.

With your knowledge and experience could you give your opinion for the following requirements?
1. After effects ( light to moderate vfx and planning to use for social media videos around 30 minutes long )
2. Premier Pro ( same as after effects )
3. Illustrator and Photoshop
4. VS Code and docker
5. Some 3D modeling ( optional )

Should I buy a Mac Mini 24GB/512GB or Build a PC for that price?
