The Iranian army says it has targeted Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), Israel’s state-owned defence and aerospace company.

In a statement provided to Iran’s government news service, the army said it launched drones at IAI targets near Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport, as well as a US reconnaissance aircraft at Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia.

It did not elaborate on the nature of the strikes. Al Jazeera could not independently verify the information and there was no immediate public response from Israel or the US.

DUBAI, March 22 (Reuters) - Iran will completely shut the strategic Strait of Hormuz if U.S. ‌President Trump executes threats to target Iranian energy facilities, the country's Revolutionary Guards said in a statement on ⁠Sunday.
Trump on Saturday threatened to "obliterate" Iran's power plants if Tehran did not fully reopen the Strait of Hormuz within 48-hours, suggesting a significant escalation barely a day after he ‌talked ⁠about "winding down" the war, now in its fourth week.
