at the same time he was addressing to sathywaya maranin pasu upadiyda question in a different way.

Do you think there is a linkage between nama rupa experinces as such? Or they are independent of their own without a linkage.

it is not that there IS an independent permanent link.. it is cause and effect..

by seeing the cause of current nama-rupa (experience) he sees the previous nama-rupa and then knowing that knows its previous..and so on..

i have a different reading but may be wrong, i think buddha was talking about the perception he gets as it happens now. not necessarily going on searching for previous causes.

the previous births, i mean if buddha went to see the cause of a previous birth so and on based on the previous cause ,it doesn't tally with the previous Rupa ending .i see it as without a linkage.perception without linkage to previous or a cause

How to say,like there are two balls,one ball is gone for ever.but other ball is talking about the previous one. You explained it as buddha talk about the previous ball looking at the causes of the present ball and how it orginated and lead to previous one? Is this the way you explained?

no, i dont say buddha talks to previous ball. atita arammana/old ball is airsen and cased. but the causal track/trace/linkage is still there in the present ball. the present ball is conditioned by all previous events.

Yeah then that what i was telling too.but the conditions are still there in the present ball due to avidya right.its due to linkage.that area is not clear to me.its to me like present ball doesnt have a trace but rather a totaly new ball unless viewed from avidya perspective

there is a beautiful mechanism behind this i explained somewhere in detail beofre..let me see if i can find it.

coudnt find.. will explain as simple as possible.

think of bawanga as a vibration with a fundamental frequency F1..

this F1is determined at the pratisandi shaped by previous karma...

now, the first experience is conditioned by this F1.

now this new experience creates a new frequency F2 (doesnt alter the F1, but overlaps if you will) with the sankara/javanas, perception, anushaya, etc..

now the next experience is conditioned by both F1 and F2... again the F1 doesnt change, but F2 will be altered by adding more frequencies to it

so after several events the current citta/present moment is conditioned

F1 (unchanged) + F2 where F2 = fevent1 + fevent2 + fevent3 ..... so on,

So by looking at the current frequency (citta) all the previous events (frequencies) can be knowed for a trained mind..

this is very basic analogy...if you learned this bit more, you will see why sowan will never go to hell, only lives 7 bhawas...
why someone cant attain any palas..etc
what really happens at the magga/pala what changes to this continuum.etc
fascinating stuff..

all the answers are in hidden in this mechanism.
