අපේ ශ්‍රී ලාංකීය ජන සංගීතයට ඇළුම් කරන සොයුරු සොයුරියන් වෙනුවෙන් ජන සංගීතය ආශ්‍රිත නිර්මාණ ඇතුලත් හුයක් පටන් ගන්න හිතුවා. මෙම ගීත බොහොමයක් ලබාදුන්නෙ එළකිරි පවුලේ අපේම සාමාජික සොයුරු සොයුරියන්. ඔවුන්ටත් මගේ ස්තුතිය. මෙම කටයුත්තට ඔබ සැමගේ දායකත්වය සහ සහයෝගයත් බලාපොරොත්තු වෙනවා

doest this song actually have an African tribal drum beat ?
I saw Mr. Baddage say so in a show on TV.
I do not know about that, but once I remember him saying something like this is not a song of native Sri Lankans (wedi geeyak). Ya there is a bongo playing in the song. But the violin & flute parts are very closer to our music. And of cours the language. :)

    He said that he got the rhythm for this song from a African tribal beat then they heard at a music festival that he had attended. He had used the same beat here and added the other instruments later on.
    So technically, this song doesnt count as a Sri Lankan folk song :P
