Take a step further, Idi Amin. No. It is only a half truth to say, we are all Sri Lankans.

In fact, we are all human beings and residents in the wide world. We are global citizens, more so in this 21st century.

We are Sri Lankans only secondarily.

I have moved with men, women and children from many parts of the world. True, they speak different languages. Their skin colour varies. Apart from the differences in skin colour, language and some cultural differences, they are just like my own people.

Their kindness and large-heartedness has often deeply moved me.

You have define and explained the word "Umaah" Umat used in islam .This word used for the unity of follower of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) That they are brother from whereever they locate (country, nation, cast etc), what ever they speak and what ever they have.

I see ur point...but we need to start with our country first...even i have moved with so many nationalities....I only dont see unity among us sri lankans...others...filipinos indians arabs...they are all united for their country...even a job oppertunity they will try to promote their own country men..where as when it comes to lankan..sadly thats seldom..
