well id depends on the girl brother,if she is social and westernized you can simply ask her on a date.but when it comes to sri lankan girls , you just cant ask for a date,talk to her casually for few days.dont come on too strong.talk about her .let her to talk ,ask something that she likes to talk.don talk about you ,she may think you are self absorbed person.
