    ඔයා හඳේ ඉඳන්ද ගොඩබැස්සෙ ?

 Nehe bung, just check my location, on far right on top of my post,

Amal is Mervin's son....right? I have met him more than a decade ago, before he hit fame & when senior was alive & well. Amal had a better voice, with the ability to sing higher notes. But I like & respect Mervin for his originality & music.....Sanda midulata enawa, ma sanasa, oba dedunna akasaye, adare ran bingun & etc have it's own place in Sri Lankan music legacy, I dont think Amal can challenge those even though he has a better voice, my question was, if Amal qualify to be in the same level with KK, my verdict is "NO"

Kishani, never heard of her, can some one upload an MP3 of her please????

ok guys guys..lets clarify this mess. 1st of all "living legends". dont u gys get it.It is only a promotional strategy of d organizers. marketing nam ithin boru thmai.lol

Legacy-A legend should b a revolutionizer.none of these artist have reached that real time legacy yet.
Anyway kk is deserved to b a legend.most of u guys have agreed on this. Then Amal!. Amal is a radical singer and have shown few signs of revolution in his music. well, about his talent in singing, it is evenly matched with kk. but unlike kk he is bit lazy 2 compose nw sngs. so he may b a legend 1 day,bt never know..lets see

It seems many of u gys dnt know much abt Kushani. She is also from music family and she is 'visharada' Kushani. bt she is not that popular. her talents are truly up to the grand level. too early 2 say a legend. but have that potential. here listn

I am sorry, I did not see your location, so u are not very upto date with the SL music scene.
Yes I agree, Mervyn's contribution is immense, he has left for us some evergreens, but never got the recognition he deserved, 'coz he never went after fame. A very modest man. Only a few people know that some of the most beautiful melodies sung by Victor Ratnayake in the early 70s were composed by Mervyn.
About Amal, yes he has not yet done any thing special to be on par with KK, but I personally prefer his voice to KK's voice. It is so soothing, charming & romantic.
