Dialog WimaX or SLT Broadband?

I have a SLT 512Kbps connection at the moment and it's driving me nuts..
cant even watch a youtube video without pausing..

anyway i decided to go with either Wimax 1MB or SLT 1MB

Which one do you think is best.. ?

Or should I go for the 2MB connection? is it really worth the extra Rs.2000?

I'm using Dialog Homenet 512Kbps Connection (for Office) & SLT 512Kbps Connection (for Home)...I Preffer u to move SLT 1MB or 2MB coz Dialog Sucks always (day time..SLT Best for downloads !!

Yes SLT connection is stable and really trustworthy. Not like Dialog, it drops down and doesn't provide static speed. Go for SLT 1mb or 2mb.

If you do lot of downloads, the Rs.2000 is really worth of paying for SLT. but all you do is just browse the net, go for 1mb connection.

i used a 512 slt and moved to Xcite now almost 2months Trust me the 512 line had better speed than this the xcite package is very very slow.. better to go to Dialog.. SLT SUX..


and Lankabell is the best my Next door person use that its bit expensive but Worth it coz the speeds are accurate as always..

I'm using Wimax 1MB for more than an year now and I have no complains with it. The connection rarely drops and generally gives a good connection speed.
The speed does drop during daytime but its not intolerable.

I had really bad experiences with SLT ADSL as the lines in this area is really bad and they never fixed it. The line dropped every 10 minutes and the line speed was never over 300kbps.

Lankabell has horrible customer service so I wont recommend them. When they started giving the wimax connections, I went after them for months just to get a damned application and they didnt even bother to respond.

I never had a breakdown with this connection to call the dialog customer care.
I wont go to lankabell after their horrible service when I was trying to buy their damn connection. If they are not interesting in selling their product why the fuck should I bother with it ?
At least, SLT has far better customer service than that at both the time of sale and aftersales. Even though SLT never upgraded their phone lines in this area, they atleast, came to check after giving them a call.

torrent speeds vary according to the seeds/peers ratio. Search EK for some of my torrent speeds on wimax. I have posted screenshots. For some torrents I get 100+ kbps speeds.
Wimax does drop the speed during day time. This is expected from any broadband connection as none of them give dedicated speeds. However my connection is quite steady even at daytime and I get good download speeds.
I need a steady connection that doesnt break down for my work and so far only Dialog Wimax has provided that for me.
I have tried SLT ADSL and Suntel XDSL as well before using Wimax from Dialog.
