Why do they always want to give Medical, Law, Engineering and Management degrees from private universities?

Why not private universities offer Arts, languages and technical degrees?

Am I missing something?

Because those are the high demanding majors, as long as they maintain high standards i dont percieve any negativity on this approach.

Obviously their standards will be high....no single person can start up a university in one day....lol.....Huge investments and they should have some connection with a renowned university any Jack and Jill can't start a University and Maintain it....so Obviously these universities will be Standardized and much better in Standards that Local universities..its the local universities that will have to compete withe private ones not vice versa!

Think about this....Wat if Cambridge came here and opened up a branch here.....
and half the costs with full need scholarships and opportunity granted to study in your own motherland without the need to go abroad....and the local education system will need to compete and come up with standards to make students ready for them to at least to study in a private university if the government cannot atleast open up state universities...

machan I can see there are some disadvantages if Prvate uni's come but then whats the solution for people who are talented but couldn't get through AL's ?
