machang 1KM dura thiyena branch 2kak wi/fi connection (antenna) 2kak dala karanna puluwan neda? eath cost eka aduwen karanna wenne bang VPN giyoth cost eka adu weida?
you can use wimax for this but wimax antenna/receivers are expensive. Also the 2 locations must have clear line of sight to fix the 2 antennas

The cheapest solution is VPN over the internet using VPN software. Ofcause this will be slow as it totally depends on the speed of the internet connections at the 2 locations.

if you have Windows 2003 server at both ends, you can use pptp vpn that comes with windows.
Its configured from the Routing and Remote Access service.
Or you can use OpenVPN, which is far more secure than pptp.

Install OpenVPN server on a linux box. Then install OpenVPN clients on Windows/Linux machine. Very easy to Install and configure (few minutes ), Very low cost ( all the packages are free ), High secure, Faster ( Feels like LAN ), People can access from anywhere in the world ( Working from home or just access ), etc..
Put the OpenVPN server in your main office and clients on branches ( even in your laptops ).
If you need any help to configure, pls let me know.

sry for delay 2 reply. It doesn't matter what is your current speed. you can have ur VPN link same as ur current speed ( little less that current, coz it takes little time encrypt packets. But we can't see that slowness ). Currently I use VPN with my 512 ADSL home link to connect my office. I use VPN not only for connecting to office, but also for my Internet connection ( My Internet connection also go though my VPN ). But I can't see any slowness.

Of coz, If your head office and branch office have different connection speed, It will run in lower speed. That's same for normal LAN connections too.
