hmm I don't think making cartoons out of national heroes can do any goodbecause then those cartoons wil tend to be different from original characters and kids will have the wrong impressions...
dont you see wut happens to good books when they are adapted into movies.
i see it like this...in a different way....
do u remember sangeeth singing "Rangahala den etha ada andure"
well i don't know about u...but i didn't know a song existed like that till he sang it and made it a hit....original one may be the one that must get the credit...but somehow our generation got to know about that song only after that i think....so likewise we can make our heroes hit as Americans do marketing or something using their cardboard heroes...well yeah we know Dutugenmunu Rajathuma....but how many about others we know..? we can make other heroes memorable...by making cartoons...we can simply protect the original story anyhow...
After making those cartons...then we can compare the characters...but with in a respectable manner bcoz we are using original characters...who done things in reality...that may be not acceptable or practical....but can be done if you think it's possible..
because then those cartoons wil tend to be different from original characters and kids will have the wrong impressions...
