Still I am using my Intel Celeron D 2.66GHz pc since last 6 years.Still works as new.Now I am currently using Intel E8400 3.00GHz 6mb cache pc.my sister use the old pc now.

after seeing this i remembered the old good days,there was only a single socket for whole CPUs,for Intel,AMD,Cyrix(i think most ppl here haven't heard of this).The AMD K6-2 & 3 was much popular in those days in SL too,I had my ASUS Socket 7 m/b with Pentium MMX(@66.6MHz FSB) but it supported the AMD(upto 75MHz FSB 
) & Cyrix chips too,now vendors are going with different pin designs and ppl who buy a specific m/b can't use different CPU 
and also the m/b had all configs with jumpers voltage,FSB...etc so we could use any CPU with compatible settings
