short term trading should be done based on technical analysis.we use pivot point analysis so does momentum base analysis and sister effect analysis also

i'l send u a link of pivot point analysis.which developed to give some direction on day trading. based on support level analysis n resistant level analysis.both terms more towards psychological aspects of what investors think.

support level -A price that investors think good on buying .and on holders mind price that they think of holding feeling its take a u turn.support level pric occur when price of share goes down

resistan level-A particular price that holders think better of taking profits n leaving.simliarly in buyers point they tnk its bit over valued to buy n hv resistant in mind 2 buy.
importantly there is no such a gurantee that it will occur n wont break those prices coz if so i should hv been same point iznt it?
so does pivot point goes to analyse 3 support levels n 3 resistant levels.
Technical advise is to buy @ support level n sell @ resistant level.

Momentum base analysis.
u could see buying pressure building up n up n u feel a rally to strat soon.u feel it n get it when u r done with more experience.bt how mch u be experience no one makes profts all the time.normally in cse a rally stayes for two days.u will find there is slight drop of price around 10.45 12.00 which most used to get in to a rally if nt just lk ar 1.15-1.30.
same way u wud feel selling presure is on n buyers rnt around on 2nd day at ar 10.30 .again it differs day n day out.some non performed stocks in the morning starts running ar 10.30 u nvr knw in short term burst.

Sister effect analysis.
its about relationship senario where it can be same industry o the holding com n subsidiary whr there z mutual benifts around.like kegal goes up n hv great financials RICh price goes up. like poultry shares in same industry.when u see Tafl going up u cn gurantee GRAN wil go up.if u lk @ it bargaing agan cn use it bt u will hv only split seconds grabbing those.

day trading needs experience n lot of gussing so does plan setting.if u wait 4 too long to buy u wil hv losses so does if u wai ntt selling too long hoping it wud go up n up eventualy be @ loss.so needs to decide ur entry point n exit point befre n need 2 stuck into it .u hv to gvup greedynes.n stay wth original plan n leave.

if u r doing day trading u must hv real time online trading facility preferrbly DirectFn. u need atten to mkt till deal done both ways

in broker case macho its up to u to decide.my advice is to go for the youngest trainne advisor in the firm n ask him o her to be ur advisor n get tranfer him o her into ur advisor letting firm nor he o she wud hv time to talk n share views since wth less customer base n ask ideas wht other advisors say wht d most buying o seling share of thr firm @ tht paricular day . only thing is if u want u cn open cds acc wth each n evry firm.

Sri Lanka shares edge up from 1-mo lows amid foreign outflows


Sri Lanka's stock market closed firmer in thin turnover on Tuesday from four-week lows as gains in telecom shares offset losses in financials as cautious investors awaited quarterly earnings and foreign investors were net sellers.

The island's main share index closed 0.05 percent or 3.69 points firmer at 7,349.17. It hit a record closing high of 7,811.82 on Feb 14.

Rising inflation and an adverse war crime report by a U.N.-appointed panel, which may have an impact in Sri Lanka's future foreign investments weighed on sentiment, resulting in light turnover, analysts said.

Turnover was 1.39 billion Sri Lanka rupees ($12.6 million), well below last year's average of 2.4 billion and less than this year's daily average of 3 billion.

Traded volume was 51.2 million against a five-day average of 50.3 million shares. The 30-day and 90-day average trading volumes were 54.3 million and 64.5 million, respectively. Last year's daily average volume was 67.9 million.

Foreign investors sold a net 277 million rupees' worth of shares. They have sold a net 7.83 billion in 2011, and a record 26.4 billion in 2010.

The bourse is still Asia's best performer in 2011 with a 10.8 percent gain, after bringing in the region's top return of 96 percent last year.

The rupee closed flat at 110.18/20 a dollar on low trading volumes, dealers said. The central bank has forecast further appreciation this year.
