    He is telling his ex fiancee that its not the same person she loved once, his love has been broken (Pieces of valentine), and he writes a song to remind himself of the times he had with her. Seasons of gasoline and gold means he travels alone a lot but he has lots of money :baffled:.

    He is alone and have lots of time looking at the corridor, he is following his own plan and not hers. A bird sings on the hill when the wild calls it.

    I have the gods blessings and strong arms to go on with my life while carrying my sins. Wise men save this brave America where I live.

    Man of Aran refers to a locale lived by the island named Arans near Ireland, where survival was a constant struggle. He is referring to himself as an that man or Aran who is struggling with his life since he is heart broken. He has made wrong and right decisions in his life about who he loved. But he will never come after that girl he loved once.
