There was another program similar to this. I think it was called "You Asked for it". It was telecast when colour TV first arrived. The presenter was a well known guy but I forget his name now.

PS: Correction. "You asked for it" is a US production. But I was referring to Dr Magnus Pyke and he presented "Don't Ask me" - a Yorkshire TV production. Just remembered.

Remember "Don't Ask Me" ? (ITN in early 80s if not mistaken YTV (UK)production and followed up "Don't Just Sit there "with longer programme and more elaborative of the issues with larger audience) . Not a patch on the selection of programmes of TV now(including state controlled channels)
We were indeed lucky to have salts of the earth at helm of such media as opposed to "intellectuals" of today!
    NB
"Magnus Alfred Pyke OBE FRSE FRIC was an English nutritional scientist, governmental scientific adviser, writer and presenter. He worked for the UK Ministry of Food, the post-war Allied Commission for Austria, and different food manufacturers."

Thanks. At least you remembered it. It was a YTN program, which I mentioned. Also there was content from LWT (London Weekend Television) too.

Another interesting series was Blakes'7. Always home in time to watch it.
