Dude it's a engineering fault. Don't try to justify it. This happens when less time goes into engineering and more money spent on looks :P Just understand you were sold crap and stay out of that product in the future. Then less crap will be sold to you. :)
    dude it's not a fault
    it's a jap domestic model
    not made for exports
so its doing well in japan
since its failing here due to unfavorable conditions in here it cant be categorize as a fault
if u want a vezel without dct issue hrv is their model
sl people import vezel due to less tax compared to hrv
ekata ethin japanata karanna deyak ne :P
ur logic is like asking a car to do a off road ride and when it fails saying its a engineering fault
so if its a engineering fault why are they still continuing the product same as previous?

    Honda company disagrees with you

Your thinking is absurd as it was a world wide problem. Stop thinking low of Sri Lankans

    Vezel Cluth Problem
did u read it before posting like a pro?;)
this recall came due to a software issue
we are discussing about the hardware failure of dct:P

That is what I said :D

To introduce DCT to India Hyundai had to design a novel 4 stage temperature warning and protection system for their DCT vehicles which starts with warning the driver, putting the car in limp mode, and finally disabling the accelerator input when the transmission heats up to a preprogrammed threshold.

The only thing Vezel has in the way of temperature protection is the transmission temp warning indicator. That might be more than enough for Japan but not for countries like ours.

Typical Sri Lankan mindset of "Japanese domestic cars are the best" at work

yup same here. will be working from home for few more months. Government should pay a concession and make companies like ours to work from home all the time rather than building roads and highways and sky rocketing vehicle prices. Easy way to reduce stress and traffic

its why i said to put a new battery. if u have a budget of like 50 lax to get a vezel. why not get two leafs

    where you live?
SL nissan agents do not import leaf. no service is provided. they do not import batteries. replacement battery would cost around 6000$ which is nearly 10laks sinhalese money. +shipping. and who will send us a battery? 10laks for battery + 12laks for car = 22 laks.

So, would the same thing happen for the new leaf model that is priced around 6 million these days?

Did you even read it properly? Symptoms were the same in every country even in Japan.

Read how many times it was recalled and what they did to remedy the situation.

It wasn't due to use of low quality materials or 'conditions' of the country. Tokyo has heavy traffic and in the summer time temperatures can reach 32-40C. So according to the 'Pro' calling 'PRO' here Tokyo is not a city that Vezel was designed for.

It was a caliberation fault in the dual clutch (to simplify software issue) from the begining as Honda was new to dual clutch tech in vehicles like Vezel. Now I cannot make anyone understand it if they think there is the mechanical part of the vehicle, then there is the software part of the vehicle and there is no link between them  When the progammed transmission system is at fault you can easily wearout anything in a vehicle.
It was a software issue and vehicle had a problem with engaging the first gear when temperature rose. Cooler parts of the world didn't experience that very much but rest of the world experienced it. It was not because the vehicle was designed for 'Japan only' :P

That is why Japan recalled these unit. They checked the condition of the transmission, replaced worn out parts and changed the software accordingly. What did the Sri Lankans do? They simply replaced it all because that is where the money is.
