well I recommend to use Daemon Tool cause it's free and very small also easy to use obviously there are ton of virtual drive software like Alcohol and what you said one ,but it's upto you.
somehow the important thing is you should have a virtual drive and mount the downloaded language pack into it ,that's all cause you install directly through a disk drive and main application doesn't support to mount from hard disk.
