හොදින් කතා කරොත් ගොඩක් වෙලාවට චාන්ස් එකක් තියනවා. මෙන්න ලගකදි මට උන සිද්ධියක්
වරද නෝ පාකිං ස්ථානයක පාර අවහිර වෙන පරිදි මෝටර් රථය නතර කර බැස යාම
මම තේකොළ කඩේ ඉස්සරහා කාර් එක නතර කරේ ටග්ගාලා තේකොල 250 ක් අරං එන්න.එතන නෝපාකිං. කාර් එක නතර කරොත් වාහන වලට යන්න පුලුවන්. නමුත් ටිකක් පාර බ්ලොක් වෙනවා. මෙන්න බොලේ මම එනකොට රාළහාමි කෙනෙක් කාර් එක ලගට වෙලා ඉන්නවා.

පොලිසිය - ඔබ තුමා මෙහෙමද වාහනේ පාක් කරලා යන්නේ

මම - මම පාර බ්ලොක් වෙයි කියලා හිතුවෙ නෑ රාළහාමි විනාඩියෙන් එන්න පුලුවන් නිසයා ගිහින් ආවේ.

පොලිසිය - එව්නාට මේක වරදක් අනික මෙතන නෝපාකිං බෝඩ් එකත් තියනවා

මම - ඔව් රාළහාමි මගේ අතේ වැරැද්ද තමයි.

මෙතනදි මම බේරුනේ හොදින් කතා කරපු නිසා. අනික මම ටීෂර්ට් එකයි ඩෙනිමයි නෙවෙයි ගහලා හිටියේ වැඩට අදින අත්දිග ෂර්ට් එකක් සහ කලිසමක්. මගේ වාහනේ පොෂ් වාහනයක් නෙවෙයි. ටිකක් පරණ පන්නයේ එකක්. නමුත් ගමනකදී අදින ඇදුම සහ අපේ කතාව මත මිනිස්සු අපි ගැන තක්සේරු කරනවා. ඒ තක්සේරුව වාසියට හෝ අවාසියට හේතු වෙනවා.

උබ කියන දේ ඇත්ත ...... මම හැම එකාටම කියන්නේ වැරැද්ද මොකක් උනත් හොදට කතා කරන්න .... වැරැද්ද පිළිගන්න බය වෙන්න එපා ..... ඕන තටම් දඩයක් නැතුව ඇවිල්ල තියෙන වැරැද්ද පිළිඅරගෙන .... එක තමා විදිය

On the road there are several types of lines (as someone showed on the above)

Short white lines, Long white lines, Solid white Single line, Double white line

Short white lines - You can do whatever the hell you want on the road

Long white lines - indicates that a bend, a road crossing, a solid white single line or a double line is approaching within the next 60m to 100m

You can overtake on these lines, but as a cautionary sign to keep your vehicle on your lane.

Single solid white line - Do not overtake unless the vehicle infront of you is COMPLETELY stopped ... but you CAN double pass (within the same side of the road)

Double solid white lines - You cant overtake, cant do double pass. You have to be in line back to back. Also, you are prohibited to stop your vehicle on the side of the road unless your engine is blown to fuck.. buses cant load passengers and lorries are prohibited to load or unload goods etc. (you get the idea)


NOTE...

you cannot say to the cops that you did not see the white lines (single or double) .. you cannot argue on that point in view of the law.

best thing to do is the go on the SHAPE THEORY or BRIBE THEORY and get out of the damn thing and go home.


But let me tell you a little story on the speeding.

Once.. me and a friend of mine wanted to do a test of this. So we took two cars ( a merc and a beemer) and we did a 1450km round trip around the country where the Merc was doing an average of 100+ at any given moment and breaking every possible road rule. HE was stopped by cops about 8 times and all the times he got away cause of eerrr.. influence... but........ and I on the other hand kept strictly to the enforced speeding limits and road rules... wasnt stopped a single time and actually quite enjoyed my drive in peace.


At every designated stop point in Hotels and other places.. the time difference between him and ME was a maximum of 16 minutes.. that also happened cause my GF (then) wanted to stop to take some pics of an elephant. That was the MAX... othertimes we were just 5 minutes apart.

MORAL of the story... its better to be 5 minutes late than being fucking DEAD on the side of the road wrapped around a tree !

So just fucking keep to the speed limits, obey the god damn road rules and live another day.

what a comment dude.I had some misunderstandings regarding those white lines.I have asked several people about this but didn't get any proper answer. Now all are clear. Thanks...
