ඔබගේ-Anti virus-එක-හොදින්-වැඩ-කරනවාද??

ඔබට කවද හරි හිතිල තියෙනවද, ඔබගේ පරිගණකයේ තියෙනව antivirus program එක හොදින් වැඩ කරනවාද නැත්ද කියා. අන්න ඒක test කරගන්න පුලුවන් පොඩි ක්‍රමයක් තියෙනවා. ඒකට කියන්නේ EICAR test කියලා.
මෙම ක්‍රමය පාවිච්චි කරලා ඕන කෙනෙකුට පුලුවන් තමන්ගේ පරිගණකගේ තියෙන antivirus program එක හරියටම වැඩකරනවාද කියල බලාගන්න, ඇත්ත virus මුකුත් පාවිච්චි කරන්නේ නැතුවම. නිකම් මොකටද අත පුච්ච්ගන්නේ?

පියවර තුනයි තියෙන්නේ.
Step 1:
Notepad එක open කරලා මේ code එක copy කරලා කැමති නමකින් save කරගන්න.

Step 2:
ඒ file එකේ නම myfile.com විදියට rename කරගන්න.
Step 3:
දැන් myfile.com කියන file එක scan කරන්න.
ඔබගේ Antivirus Program එක හරියාකාරව වැඩ කරනවානම් warning message එකක් ඇවිල්ල එවෙලෙම myfile.com file එක delete කරන්න ඕන. එහෙම නොවෙනවානම් තමයි ඉතින් ප්‍රශ්ණේ?

මොනව කරන්නද Antivirus Program එක ආයෙත් install කරලා බලන්න. එහෙමත් නැත්නම් වෙන එකකට මාරුවෙන්න.

ගොඩාක් antivirus Program පළවෙනි පියවරේදීම මේ file එකට warning message එකක් දෙනවා.

තමන්ගේ antivirus program එක ගැන තවදුරටත් සහතික කරගන්න ඕනනම් අර හදපු file එක zip file එකක් අතුලට දාල ඒ zip file එක scan කරල බලන්න. Antivirus program එකට අහුවෙනවා කියන්නේ ඉතින් හොදයි තමයි.
ඔබගේ antivirus program එක මෙ file එක virus එකක් ලෙස පෙන්නුවත් ඇත්තටම ඒක virus එකක් එහෙම්ම නෙමයි. එකනිසා මේම ක්‍රමයෙක් පරිගණකයට කිසිම හානියක් වෙන්නේ නැ. එක නිස මෙම ක්‍රමය antivirus එක check කරගන්න අතිසාර්තකයි.

Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 ta ahu una. Eth machan meke athi vade mokadda? Onema anivirus company ekak EICAR test file eka detect wenna software hadanawa athi kohomath. Anyway thanks for the share.

The EICAR test file (official name: EICAR Standard Anti-Virus Test File) is a file, developed by the European Institute for Computer Antivirus Research, to test the response of computer antivirus (AV) programs. The rationale behind it is to allow people, companies, and AV programmers to test their software without having to use a real computer virus that could cause actual damage should the AV not respond correctly. EICAR likens the use of a live virus to test AV software to setting a fire in a trashcan to test a fire alarm, and promotes the EICAR test file as a safe alternative.
AV programmers set the EICAR string as a verified virus like any other signatures. A compliant virus scanner, when detecting the file, will respond in exactly the same manner as if it found genuinely harmful code. Its use can be more versatile than straightforward detection: a file containing the EICAR test string can be compressed or archived, and then the antivirus software can be run to see whether it can detect the test string in the compressed file.
