He is from Colombo uni. He was student union president in 1990s (when Champika was the convener of inter uni student fed). At that time ruling party was UNP and Prof GLP was VC for the second 5 year term and was a strong supporter of UNP

Once Art Faculty students ed by KP surrounded College House and GLP left the place early. So KP and art students were dissopointed as they could not take hostage of VC GLP and they put the dusbin on VC s (GLPs) table and said this is VC.
I have seen KP pasting posters against GLP.
He also stated that he is related to late archeologist and he could speak english well and he was from affluent family(all are far from truth)

As usual GLP in 1993 change his colours from green to blue and later became Deputy minister for Finance and Justice minister.
Shameless KP sought a position as Co-ordinating secretary to GLP in justice ministry.
While being a co-ordinating secretary he had taken a female, with her consent during office hours for private trip...... On abuse of office he had to resign from co-ordinating secretary position(over this he had to resign)
Later he entered law college and passed as a lawyer.
He became MR supporter and posted to our Embassy in Canada as its Minister.
unsuccessfully contested parliament from Ratnapura but successful this time from Hela Urumaya in UNF government.
In short he is a shameless person and can change to any colour to suit . An opportunity and ideal for SL politics.

මම ඔහුගේ ෆේස්බුක් බැලුවා. මේ වනවිට ඔහු ගැන සහ වර්තමාන ස්ථාවරය ගැන ලොකු සංවාදයක් යනවා. ඔහුගේ මිතුරන් සහ ඔහුට දේශපාලනිකව සහාය දැක්වූවන් අතර මේ වනවිට ඔහුගේ වර්තමාන එජාපයට සහාය දක්වන ස්ථාවරය ගැන දැඩි විවේචනයකට ලක්වෙමින් තියෙනවා.

එහි දැක්වෙන ආකාරයට පරණවිතාන යනු උගතෙක්. අතීතයේ රැඩිකල් මත දැරූවෙක්. වර්තමාන එජාපයට දක්වන සහාය ගැන ලොකු විරෝධයක් ඔහුට එල්ල වෙලා තියෙනවා. ඔහුගේ ෆේස්බුක් ගිණුමේ සදහන් වන ආකාරයට ඔහු මෙරට ප්‍රධාන පක්ෂ දෙකේම සැලකිය යුතු කාර්යභාරයක් කරපු සහ කරන කෙනෙක්. නමුත් ඔහු අතීතයේ දරපු දේශපාලන මත අනුව පක්ෂ මාරුව ගැන දැඩි විවේචනයට ලක්ව තියෙනවා.
