One Christmas holiday me and my friend spend a week in NSW snowy mountain area. Every night we used to drink until 1-2 in the morning. We usually clean up a bottle of scotch, and holidaying means driving around during the day, drinking in the night

. We visit a small town one day, and caught up in a (booze bus) police check point. There were 2 cops. First cop attend to my car, second one attend to my friend's car. After usual greetings, he ask me whether I had any drinks today?? I said nope, not today but , last night was a big night. Then he ask me to blow the alcohol detector, and it shows that I still have alcohol in my system.

Then I told him again, it's not that I had any drinks in the morning, it must be leftovers from last night. Then he ask me what I had, how much I had, when I had, with whom I had,

blah blah .
Then the other cop came in and said he also got a positive reading from my friend and we both have to go to the police station and do a proper test to analyse the BOC (blood alcohol concentration). If it's over 0.05% we are in deep trouble. Since we both having alcohol in our systems, we no longer allow to drive, so both our wives had to drive to the police station. While we change seats, cops had a chat with each other, and find out we both telling the same story. The other cop also interrogated my friend and got the same answers as my cop. Then they both call us out, and said "" Since you both told the same story, it must be true. We believe you. But don't drive for another few hours, let your wives drive for the time being.

Enjoy your holiday, but make sure to leave at least an eight hour gap between the last drink and driving.

""
WOW That was close. I am sure we both had well over .05 at that time, and if it's above .08 we may lost our licence for 3 months on top of a fine of around $850.
